((well, I think it is fitting for such a thread to be confussing, for no one really knows whats going on, and there are a lot of things going on... theres no way that it could be anything but confusing....))
"H-hello...." The Insanity was lost, why was this beautiful Euclides taking notice of him? He eyed Iedaene once more, hoping she could help ease the uncomfortable situation. He did not know how to react to the wink, so he clicked his beak nervously.
He suddenly remembered the Poison Avain he had met... where exactly could she be?
No, he shook his head, dismissing such thoughts... best not to start daydreaming here, of all places. He could do nothing but await the responce from the Human Defore.

Iedaene could read his discomfort clearly. The female was being decidedly bold, and Kaeji'Maye didn't like it, that or he was seeing another. She knew that the Euclide generally were not the most loyal of creatures, but still, she owed him for the kindness he had shown. But she didn't know exactly what she could do, besides try to turn the other female away. She furrowed her eyes a bit. It was a game that she was unsure of playing, and this female by her charms, seemed the expert. But Kaeji'Maye's glance was enough to convince her.
She mustered as much strength as she could into her voice, letting the words glide out smoothly, without apprehension at anything she might screw up. She lifted her hand and let it rest gently against the downy feathers of the avian's neck, a touch that might be seen as intimate. She couldn't give him any signs of the charade, lest it be discovered, but she hoped he would be sly enough to realize and play along, just until this female left. She let a seductive smile slide upon her features, mimic of the feline's own flirtatious look. "As a matter of fact, you are, my dear. You wouldn't mind...?"
She left the question in the air, sure the female might take the message and back off. Little did she know of a Desire's affections.

Sirib's Desire type let her know that these two did not care for each other in that way, but it confused her when the human-Defore made that move on the Avian. Sirib, used to having her own way, was not going to let that stop her though. She turned and looked at the Avian with a coy smile, "Do you always let the female do the talking? I always thought the male was supposed to take charge..." She flicked her tail so it just barely touched his white feathers, and gave another one of her famous smiles.
Sinnarnbi smiled. She knew he had had experience with females before, and she liked it. Unlike Sirib, she did get tired of playing with the inexperience males, and she liked to have a challenge every once and a while. She sat down and stared lazily into his eyes, "My name is Sinnarnbi. I came from a Feline/Canine pairing and my parents died when I was young. A human-girl saved my life from another terrible human that was trying to control a group of Euclides, including myself, when I was young, and I haven't had a liking for them since." She eyed the human-Defore that was with the Avian and Sirib with an untrusting glance before looking back at this handsome Defore. It was surprising that he had never met with another Euclide before. Sinnarnbi used this to her advantage, "Oh really? Well.. you might want to be careful.. some of us can be terribly mean.." she walked around him once more, softly nipping his shoulder and purring in his ear.

Larkaeniba was for once glad of being an Avian. Her gracefully decorated wings carried her far above the mass of raging Euclides, Defores, and Amunis. Sharp gaze scanned every face she could possibly see in a split second, searching for someone who would put up with her until they learned what in the blast was going on. Another Avian figure caught her eye. It was the Insanity. Her stomach gave a small lurch, and she angled her wings, dropping down in a smooth landing not too far away from the Avian and his companions. Clicking her beak, she shoved her way over. Now was not the time to give in to her..."feelings", as there were others around. "Hello." was the simple greeting she gave, regarding the Insanity, barely flickering her eyes over the others. She wasn't here for them, and it was more than obvious that she had eyes for him alone. Oh, and ears for that stupid, stupid radio.

Endenu nearly shivered with delight; this one seemed to have an appatite as voracious as his own. It was rather uncommon for a Defore, as they typically mated for life, but at this point, settling down wasn't quite on his mind.
"Sinnarnbi," he said, as if savoring the sound of it. "A lovely name... which, of course, is quite fitting."
He stared back at her and listened. "Well, I certainly can't say my start was all that interesting. Understandable, in your case, not to care for humans." His eyes narrowed slightly, but only for a moment. "Among humans, I rather prefer the natives I grew up with to the white men. At least the natives had a sense of honesty." He left off his bitterness towards non-Natives, though, and his eyes returned to their normal mischevious state. "But the past is past, and I find it much more pleasant to dwell upon the present."
"Mmm," he purred back, as she bit him. "My thanks for the warning... though 'mean' isn't always bad." He grinned, and nipped her back with a sideways glance. "Where's the fun in always being nice all the time?" He looked over towards a group of bickering Amuni. "They claim to be so wonderfully good and nice, yet they don't seem to be having much fun at all." He smiled slyly.

Kaeji'Maye sighed when the Desire did not fall for the Defore's act. Though he clicked his beak gratefully at her, to show he was thankful for the effort. He'd have to simply explain he was not interested in the Desire, and was feeling rather uncomfortable about her. Talking about such a thing to such a Euclide would be hard, however. He wasn't to good at conversing under such a blush.
But suddenly, as if the answer to his prayers, the Poison Avain. She'd most certainly be able to rid the cause of the Insanities blush. "Hello," he nodded his feathered head, grateful to see a firmiliar face. Once he said his greetings to her, his attention returned to the human Defore who had tried to bring him comfort. Strength in numbers, this was good. Together the three of them could easily find the source of this Call. He wondered for a moment if he should introduce Larkaeniba to the Defore, or would she rather do that for herself? "This is Iedaene," he wondered if the two would even get along? He knew little about either of them, and would hate for them to begin a fight.... and the Desire. Oh, was tonight going to be interesting?

Larkaeniba's sharp eyes picked out the embarassment written all over the Insanity's face. Now, what could be the cause of...ahh, yes. A Desire. Of course. Those types could be quite uncomfortable if you didn't know how to deal with them. She stepped closer to the avian and his Defore companion.
She narrowed her eyes to slits and glared at the offending Desire, giving a slow, menacing ruffle of her wings. She didn't outright say it, but the meaning was clear: you are not wanted here. Instead, she spoke to the femme with words layered thick in seductive charm,
"You cannot have everything you wish, madame."
Satisfied that the Desire would have no urge to fight (or so she hoped), she turned her blazing gaze to the Defore femme, brethern or so she'd heard.
"A pelasure indeed to meet you, Iedaene. I am Larkaeniba, but I much prefer Lark. How is it that you came here, did you also here the call?"

How horrendously bothersome! So many close bodies, invading his near space. Jaku's sweeping voice of gold had certainly covered his tracks nicely, but with the taste of blood woefully fading from his tongue, the puppet master was growing slowly more irate. Determined to appease the urge as it set upon him... this crimson-furred chiroptae went on the prowl. Crown remained tight about his brow, claw-rent robe flowing behind.
"Commoners!" he snarled, swiping after some unfortunate with a taloned wing-finger. "Puppets! I'll have the lot of you bowing if I have to do it by suspending you from fishing line!" Oh dear... it was never wise to be too near a puppet master (much less a vampire) with his canids bared. He needed to find prey, perhaps some un-confidant female that he could press his will upon and take advantage of.

Iedaene was glad when the second avian showed herself, it would be easier for her to handle the feline. She smiled and drew back her hand, continue to play with the bangles absently. She should be feeling nervous, surrounded on three sides by euclide and only one of her defore kin, but it was a new and interesting ecperience, one she thoroughly enjoyed but still couldn't get rid of the nagging feeling she might end up skewered at some later point. She couldn't get much lower from her sitting posture, but she nodded her head in response to the female's words.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Lark," she began, the words flowing smoothly to her surprise, and she gave a quick, grateful smile at Kaeji'Maye, for it was he who had prompted her. "I came from America, by ship, stowaway. I did hear the call, it was...frightening to me." She bowed her head a little, slightly ashamed. "I am deaf, you see. I never heard voice till then, in my head. I cannot say it was very pleasing."
She raised her head, the smile forcefully reasserting itself. "Do either of you know why we are here?"
Distantly she could hear one of the participants in the fight, a chiroptae euclide, ranting arrogantly. She shuddered lightly, this place was certainly too chaotic...
--
Jaku could give a near perceptible wince as Vlaj's voice cut through the crowd, had he discovered major emotion. He could tell the Prince was in a mild state of bloodlust, and dear he did hate it when that happened. At the tone of his voice and judging the tempers about him, the vampire was heightening his chances of being injured, oh, and then there would be hell. The reason he was away from his cast so often was that he abhorred playing babysitter, which is certainly what this might turn out to be.
He pushed through the crowd, his blades mainly cutting the way for him, in Vlaj's direction. He caught up to his fellow Puppet Master quickly, placing a paw on his already torn robe to stay him. He needn't go barrelling through like some drunk, it would portray a bad image upon the cast.
"Vlaj, calm yourself," he said, his voice losing its normally smooth detachment, dropping into a serpentine hiss, equally as persuasive but less elegant. "You are ranting like a madman."

And what should still the ravings of this gradually maddened prince? Why, it was none other but the only top-hat bearing Euclides that he could seem to keep his temper with. Had it been any other his reaction might have been a violent. One of his black and hardened talons rather likely would have snaked out for a tendon of the limb that trapped his robe... but he knew his fellow. Howso? 'Twixt the rustle of that cloak he wore and the consistent faint click of blades 'pon the floor, the other was unmistakable. Thank the makers for the massive radar-like ears he sported.
Since it was, in fact, his fellow- Vlaj made it a point to restrain himself. Scarlet fur however bristled, measured whorls of black blooming over his pelt as the hairs came to stand on end.
Rather suddenly though that anger seemed to be misplaced, the vampire immediately regaining his composure as he drew himself proudly upward. "Ah, Jaku..." he replied. "My hunting has been cut short this eve as I'm sure yours was. And for some cursed reason or another I can locate neither the marionette I meant to introduce to you, nor that pleasantly tempered sorrow with which I tarried in the cemetery." A gaze intensified tenfold by hunger swept their surroundings. A puppet was all he needed... Was that so much to ask? "I shall be retiring there." he said by way of farewell, one awkward wing-arm gesturing to a nicely removed corner. Wings spread open, golden sails flaring widely as he gave several initial down-drafts of warning before taking to the air. Anyone whom had made the attempt to claim that particular corner of the ceiling would be violently evicted, and there the vampire settled. He was in no mood to deal with the roiling mass of bodies on the floor.
There was a demanding call ringing in his head. He was hungry. He'd nearly lost his life to the legendary Jiaro. He was hungry. The heat of the place was near enough to turn his stomach. Did he mention he was hungry?

Sirib narrowed her eyes, not wishing to fight the two females and turned around, walking back towards Sinnarnbi. She knew when to quit, but she also knew that as soon as the Avian was alone again, she would pounce.
Sinnarnbi smiled, liking the way he had said her name, "Thank you." She knew exactly how he was feeling about humans, and just narrowed her eyes at the thought, but her coyness returned when he nipped her shoulder back. She had never known a Defore to be so brave, especially around a Euclide. She saw Sirib coming back, and wondered why she was quitting so early. Noting the other females, she giggled and said, "Looks like we're going to have company. Sirib doesn't like to fight, but she's going to be mad that she lost him so quickly." She motioned to the other feline Euclide coming over to where they were talking.

"You're quite welcome," Endenu replies with a smile. This is working out well, he thought to himself. Euclide seem to better suit my... needs than Defore, if this lovely one is anything to judge by.
Endenu's eyes followed Sinnarnbi's gaze to the returning Sirib. "Ahh, well, perhaps we can put her into a better mood." He regarded the white-and-black Euclides for a few more moments, before turning back to Sinnarnbi. "A shame that we will no longer be alone, but I'm sure we can make the best of it." He winked, and glanced back at the approaching Sirib.
