A little scare

It was a rather warm day perfect to be walking, visiting, and shopping. The crowds of people were minding their own business, until one woman started to scream in terror and yelled "Werewolf"
The other women were shocked to hear this and most were saying "How could a werewolf be out in the middle of the day though..."
She had slightly calmed down and told everyone that she saw a creature that looked like a werewolf, and thats all she could really explain 'it' as.

It wasn't long before a tall dark figure was seen in the horizon. Large ears stuck straight up, and what seemed like a dog face appearance to him. The sheer size of him and his muscle's seemed to scare people but also his looks as well. His fur was the color of a doberman pincher.
His clothing were dark, loose yet tight just comfortable enough for him to move around freely.

The towns people all froze at this site no one knew who or what he was. One of the braver men took a step forwards towards the strange 'beast' and said in a shaky voice. "Who are you and what are you, and what are you doing here?"

The creature smirked as he stared at them with cold brown eyes. Then for no reason he chuckled and said "I am Malice, I am just out for a walk, and as for what I am you can decide for your self" his voice was always deep, dark, mysterious, and somewhat evil.
The humans looked from one another wondering what they should do, then Malice's smirk disappeared and he barked ferociously scaring everyone. This sent them into a large frantic glob of people running for safety even though the anthro wouldn't harm them.

The streets clears fast as people hid in store area and their own homes. Malice could only chuckle at the stupidity of some human. For it would have been so easy for him to take them all out before the night was done. He then continued walking forward as he just wanted to enjoy the day, and wondered if there would be anyone brave enough to talk to him.

From within the crowd of frightened humans, a pale figure dressed in spring blue danced into the open. She appeared no more than 10 years of age with springy blonde ringlets in her beautiful pale golden hair. Her eyes were crystal blue and exceptionally clear; so radiant against her flawless pale skin that she looked like a china doll come to life.

At first she appeared to be skipping, but before long it was notable that she was dancing. Fully unaware of others around her, either by choice or naught it was hard to tell.

Nonetheless her dancing finally ended in a graceful twirl that slammed the lithe figure into the large canine-like human that the others had been fleeing from. Twinkling crystal blue eyes peered upward at the one before her and she smiled weakly, though without even the slightest hint of fear.

"Sorry Mr. Puppy, I hadn't seen you."

For a moment she paused, taking in the sound of frightened people around her and many warnings Kujien had told her. Namely was thus: many of my kind will probably try and eat you, so be on your guard.

The little China Doll was too naive to be constantly on guard, and so she settled with the perfectly blunt manner of any ten year old.

"Are you going to eat me?" A sweet smile spread over her rosy lips and she tilted her head, causing her perfect little ringlets to bounce. "That wouldn't be very nice you know, but Jien tells me that others might... You know, try and eat me."

To most of humanity such commentary was considered odd from the mouth of a ten year old and yet this one spoke of it with such assured ease it was as if she wasn't at all considered of being devoured by a large dog man. Which, of course, she wasn't. After all, she had Jien to defend her.

The large canine like human watched as the humans ran to their homes to hid, which only made him chuckle. His brown eyes scanned the area when he got a glimps of a little girl dancing which had first appeared like she was skipping. He just watched in amazment that this little girl seemed to be clueless to him being there.

He never moved a muscle as he watched her closely wondering who she was, then he felt the small figure bump into him. Malice only took a small step back and looked down at her, his ears flopping slightly now at the tips. Bending down so he was leveled with her after hearing her question, which made him chuckle "Of course I woulnd't eat you" he found this little girl to be cute and brave for just talking to him.

"Yeah I know it is never nice to eat someone, and your friend is right some may try to eat you depending on where you are at" He just smiled a gentle smile to try not scaring her with his canine teeth "So little one what is your name?" he wondered where she was from and who was watching over her, but those question he would save for later.

The little girl smiled with brilliant elegance. She knew he wasn't going to eat her, and that made her happy, because...well, who would want to be eaten? When he was on a level height with her the girl skipped back a pace, giving them a bit of space to see each other properly.

"You're awfully tall." She commented cheerily before doing an elegant curtsy. "I'm Lyra!" Each word was like the sound of a bell, clear and sweet and perfectly musical. So very suiting of her name. "And what can I call you?"

She straighted back to her normal poise, playing with the hems of her skirt. "The Euclides would eat me." Lyra commented without worry. "But Kujien won't let them." Once again her startlingly blunt commentary came to her as if it were such a simple, careless subject to bring up.

a brown euclide sniffed the air, he knew something was different, soon enought he spotted Lyra. he crouched the fur on his back went up, then he realized the human like dog. he then re calculated his thoughts and backed up confused. his light pupils filled filled with excitement as he thought of something......

He watched her and chuckled a little as she made the comment of how tall he was. He only nodded to that comment still chuckling a little. Malice then watched as the little girl took a step back and did a curtsy as she said her name "Ah Lyra a very beatiful name" he commented still looking at her.

"Well you can just call me Malice, it is a pleasure to meet you" the anthro watched the little girl then nodded after hearing that the Euclides would eat her. "Kujien eh, well you know it just might not be as easy for him to do that as you can say it." he knew that she was young and all so he just explained it out to her without getting angered like what some humans would probably get aftera while.

He ears twitched from side to side getting the feeling that someone was near, but he didn't react to anything. He wasn't going t get into some kindof fight while Lyra was around, so he just waited to see if anyone would come out and either attack him or talk to him.

the brown euclide showed himself to the human-dog. hello he growled. he gave an evil smirk. don't mind if I hang. his pupils scaned Lyra maybe..... get a snack..... he backed up and sat on a patch of grass growing inbatween the cracks of the road. a breeze blew behind his back as he watched Malice.

[Vyn]

"It's nice to meet you Malice! It's very nice to meet you as well. I get sort of lonely when Kujien is out and I'm all alone."

Lyra sighed prettily, shaking her head and causing the beautiful blonde ringlets to bounce lightly around her china doll face. His words caused her expression to falter, her crystal clear eyes blinking in confusion.

"Do you mean...that he would let them eat me?" This wasn't exactly the sort of thing a motherless ten year old wanted to hear. That her dear protector was going to let her be eaten by all the pretty animals. A shiver ran through her, but she gave a defiant little stomp of her foot and narrowed her bright eyes on Malice though her expression wasn't at all angry. "I don't believe you Mr. Malice. Kujien wouldn't let them eat me, he won't let Biase eat me."

A growled greeting to her side caught her attention, bringing a light smile onto her lovely, youthful face.

"Hello!"

Another little falter. People were not at all as nice today as they usually were. How odd. However, she recognized this second one to be an Euclides and they weren't always very nice. Even Kujien had his times when he could be grumpy and distant, however Lyra had learned to let him be during such times.


In the far distance, hollow white eyes peered at the odd group from the shadows of the alley he'd taken shelter in. The tip of a long tail ticked against the ground but made no sound or hint of his presence. As invisible as any cat watching its prey.

seeing the youthful face of the child his tense face lifted. hi..... he said shyly. he acts like any outher euclide but sometimes it seems to fall behind him. he stiffend aren't you scared? I'm an euclide, you know the fangs, claws, deadly! pifffid he talked so fast his air ran out. he gasped then calmed. where is this Kujien? and did you say Biase? a breeze of cold air wisked across his face a leaf blew into his face. I I...

Malice looked at the little girl and shook his head "No thats not what I mean Lyra, I am sure he would give it his all to just protect you. Though sometimes even the strongest fall at some point, but I am not saying he will let them eat you for I am sure he will fight for your life" He just smiled a little.

His head turned quickly as he heard another set out and talked about a little snack. A faint growl came from deep within his throat "If you mean a snack of a little girl then no, you can just leave if thats what you want. This little one should just be left alone" He stared at the brown Euclide wondering who he was. Malice then looked back at Lyra "Does your friend have a habit of showing up at the right time to protect you when needed, if you don't mind me asking?"

His ears slightly twitched after watching the Euclides reaction to Lyra, and then started to wonder what was going through his mind.

Lyra giggled at the Cannibal canine's quick speech.

"No, not really. I know you're an Euclides, a canine of the Cannibal type." She smiled brightly. "I don't think I could guess your rank as accurately as Kujien, but there's no Top Hat, so not Puppet Master."

She babbled with the happy carefree quality common to most children. His question, however, caused her to blink.

"Kujien? He's around. I got separated from him when all the people started to run around." She leaned in confidentially. " I think he was maybe hungry, he does that a lot..." A little shrug. "Yes, I said Biase. She's very pretty, do you know her?"

Crystal eyes now returned to Malice, head tilted ever so slightly though a bright grin was plastered on her face.

"Ah, I see. But, well, Kujien's just not like that. No one can beat Kujien cause he's the best." Once again the stubborn pride of childhood. Another confused blink, as if she needed a moment to debate this question. "Well, yes. He's never far...and if he is going to go far, I'm not allowed to leave the Theatre."

She nodded promptly, Lyra was proud of her obedience because Kujien was and anything that made her dear Jien happy was good for her.

yes she is he shrugged. I can eat you you know you should be quite scared! he looked into her crystal eyes. your quite amusing, Kujiens lucky he smirks. do you want to find him? he tilted his head. he then started to sniff the air. he should be near if you were lost in the crowd. he nodded. then looked away.

Lyra looked between the two, head tilted slightly. She could sense the animosity between them. Eventually she simply shook her curly blond hair and smiled over at the Cannibal.

"I know you can, but I'm not."

Such confidence in a child could've been surprising if she'd been raised by anyone other than the overly charming Puppet Master. Nonetheless she continued to beam at both the Cannibal and Malice.

"You think so?" Lyra's cheery smile grew. "I hope Kujien thinks so too."

At the Cannibal's question Lyra paused and scanned the nearby area, sure enough she spotted what she was looking for. A pale silhouette watching from the shadows. Careless of those with her she waved happily to the distant spot she found.


From the distant shadows a sly grin touched a pale muzzle as an elegant feline figure rose to his paws. Silently Kujien strode along the abandoned streets, admiring the anthro's handiwork. He didn't say anything until he was behind Lyra, a venomous grin on his maw flashing to her two companions.

"Hello Lyra, who are your companions, pet?"

The Poison's usual smooth voice was just as ensnaring as it ever was, every word steeped in graceful charm. The Puppet Master tiled his gaze to Malice first, his sharp eyes seemingly picking the anthro apart before a vaguely approving grin touched his maw. Finally his attention slipped to the Cannibal and his vague pleasure faltered. He wasn't overly fond of the Cannibal type but he made no comment.


Lyra paused and made a little squeak at Kujien's question. Instantly her crystal eyes were on the Cannibal again. In a voice that was almost a whisper, she leaned forward and asked: "Uhm...what's your name Mr. Euclides? I forgot to ask."

She giggled lightly and smiled with light innocence.

I am MaKeaJa he smiled at her giggle. he scaned Kujien with his pale eyes. hi, you must be Kujien he siad sturnly not trusting the puppet master. he steped towards him, ever so alert to his surrondings.

Malice glanced back at the brown Euclide his eyes shined almost, that was when he stood back up. His claws made a soft tap against the street, and he stared at the Euclide still.
He then looked over at Lyra with a smile and his ears slightly twitched as he looked over to where she was waving to.

The large canine watched as another Euclide walked out and he though "so that is Kujien, no wonder why she has such grat confidence in him protecting her" he chuckled to himself as he looked over at the Kujien "Well I am Malice" he said in a calm voice and then his eyes gazed back to the other at hearing his name.
