Bindikaei liked being by herself quite a lot. It was one thing, perhaps, to enjoy a bit of pleasant conversation with another of her kind, but it was quite another to have to deal with the hooligans she made her home with. Always arguing, yelling, and declaring that they were more intelligent or skillful than the others was no way to coexist healthily. It was hard to read or study when Sibine and Kael were snapping back and forth about who was the better hunter, and meditation was completely out of the question. The subconcious puppeteer had attempted a task far beyond her abilities to attempt solving this problem. Though Ava, now Nibavasi, fit in quite a lot better as a result of it, she was distraught at the major change in her existance. Bindi had known that there would be backlash on Ava's part, but she had had no idea that it would be as severe as it was. The suicide marionette had to be watched at all times, ensuring that she didn't leap from the top stories of the massive theatre or add new red marks to her already bandy paws. It was a very frustrating thing, especially when Bindikaei had meant the very best in her actions. It didn't help that the task of altering Ava's mind had left Bindi exhausted and listless. She had spent weeks saving up energy, and it looked like it would take twice as long to gain the lost energy back. Unable to listen to the bickering in her theatre any longer, she had left, coming to this forest with a few books to read, a good rest and relaxing afternoon on her mind. So far, she had been delighted - not a single Euclides in sight. Thus, the afternoon sun found Bindi alone among the mighty trees, the light pouring through the leaves and landing, dappled and intricately patterned, on her back. A large, sturdy paw held her place in the book about psychological anatomy, and cool white eyes scanned the lovingly-penned words. She would only move to turn a page or to scratch behind her ears with a paw. She was completely lost in her learning. crits.dracogrex.net/euclide/bindikaei.html

Atroposej looked silly, purched up in a tree. After all, it was not as if he was the size of a normal bird, not even the size of a normally big bird. He was gigantic in the tree and it would have been truly funny if he didn't radiate self-hatred. The branch bent threateningly to the breaking point, but made no noise or movement otherwise to do so. Even if it had, one would have to wonder if Sej would really care. He had his head hung and his eyes closed, listening to the sounds of the forest, calming himself. He only moments ago had a vomiting fit that left him woosy, drained, and his brain racing. The forest still smelt like blood, and he could only help but wonder how long it would be before another picked up his scent. And finally he did hear something coming in the far distance. He opened his eyes lazily to see what the creature might be and found a beautiful white Euclide striding towards him unknowingly it seemed with a couple books in paw. He couldn't help but blush slightly at the sight of her. She was truely a wonder to behold, the light crashing through the trees only made her seemingly glow as the blotchy patterns played along her coat. He sighed softly, it was a relief that she hadn't noticed him and he was greatful that she wasn't a predetor. He could probably protect himself enough to run away, but if he had to fight he knew he would be a goner. He watched her silently as she read, marveling at her good looks, all the while his mind screaming at him to talk to her. But who would want to talk to a lowly puppet? There was no way she could be a puppet to.... But soon his own body chose his next move as he was attacked by another vomiting fit. The sound of wretching erupted in the silence, and the blood from his beak poured down the tree to the ground a few trees away from the white beauty. "I'm sorry." he crocked to her through his coughing fit. www.geocities.com/gastgedal/Euclide/EU071M.jpg

So startled was Bindikaei at the sudden noise ripped through the quiet of the forest, she leaped a foot into the air and tumbled halfway down the slight hill of the clearing before regaining her footing. Eyes wide and frightened, her gaze darted around, seeking out whatever had made the wretched coughing sound. Finally, her eyes fell on the source - granted, it was a bit higher up than she had expected it to be, but, knowing Lisibita, she was no longer frightened.
The avian was obviously miserable, and, as he was in a tree, there was nothing Bindi could do at the moment to help. Though he was hacking up a storm, Bindi couldn't help but notice that he had a certain sheen to his gray feathers that surely wasn't only from the blood that coated them. It was quite simple, after that, for her to discern that his name was Atroposej, and that he was extremely unhappy.
Careful not to trod in the result of the handsome bird's activities, Bindi decided to try something she had never attempted before. She dug her claws into the trunk of the tree, and slowly fought her way up to the point where the trunk branched in two. Shaking a bit, she placed a paw at the base of the branch where the Agony avian perched. "It's certainly not your fault," she said gently, her voice like bells. "Come down from there, Sej, you're going to fall and hurt yourself."
