A quiet night

A cool night, full moon, bright stars, and the soft wonderful breeze was all to perfect for the Marionette. Her soft shining fur almost had a soft glow to it as the moon light shined off it. "Ah what a beautiful night" she thought...and that was all she could ever do to even hear her own voice. She was a Silence and she was always a mute, which she didn't mind at all. It just didn't help when someone tries to speak with her and she can't reply to them. Her large feline tail swished back and forth as she walked slowly down a dirt path filled with leaves and rocks. She was enjoying everything around her. Silebian walked uptill she felt her leg muscle's becomeing tired, and she walked past an old tree to a more open area in the churchyard to stare up at the moon. Tail still flickering around as her golden marking reflected the light from the moon.

As she looked up questions filled her mind wondering if she would ever be accepted into a Cast. She really never thought she would be since she couldn't speak. She gave a light sigh her ears perked forward, and she would be able to ear anything that was close if they made a noise. She wrapped her tail around so it covered her paws which made her feel more secure in a way.

Nearby he lurked, that old and decrepid tree serving the Puppet Master as a perch. Golden-sailed wings wrapped tightly about robed figure, crown firmly 'pon his brow regardless of how he dangled. Dangled? Yes- foot talons were firmly buried into the bark and wood, supporting his entire frame.

"A lovely night, pretty poppet." he spoke finally, eyes of shockingly bright crimson focused in a fashion nearing predatorial 'pon the lovely feline. Great ears dished about to gather any sort of sound she might expell, expecting at least a brief shuffle of surprise. And for all that any puppet master was able to manipulate with even their voices, his was deep and oddly accented. Tones were slightly more gutteral, though often as not he'd found that the deep bass was more soothing than the twine of a french accent. Something new....

The Marionette enjoyed the cool breeze for a while not hearing a single sound, but then something spoke which made her jump slightly. Her breathing quickened moving every peice of soft fur this way and that way. Looking around she could see nothing at first but then she saw crimson eyes shimmering almost in a large tree. Slowly the feline stood up and walked over towards the tree. Of course she couldn't speak to him or say hello but her jestures would talk for her. Sile bowed her head not yet knowing the other was a puppet master until she came back up to look at him and got a glimps of the top hat. Her eyes widen slightly then went back to the calm eyes she normally has. Now she felt even worse then before, for she couldn't speak with him and at that time she wished she could speak. Then she got to thinking "Did he call me a puppet?...." she tilted her head slightly as her ears turned with her as well flicking around here and there almost like they had there own mind.

Her white and golden form stood near the tree waiting for the other to speak and she wondered if he would get mad at first for not speaking at all. She knew sooner or later he would find out she was a Silence at some point they all seem to. Though she gave a small sweet smile as her tail flicked from side to side slowly.

Black-furred ears folded, this the only warning before wings that appeared to be all but dipped in gold flared rather dramatically and suddenly to either side. These great appendages canted just so for artistic effect, the light that fell from the moon illuminating the thin stretches of skin that granted him flight. Ah- trust a puppet master to be dramatic. Those talons that clutched the wood and kept him secure released with no sort of warning, sending the chiroptae's luxuriant scarlet body plummeting towards the ground below (not to mention the branches).

Right, left, roll further left... he chanted within his own skull, having been so set upon using this perch as to memorize the criss-cross of branches beneath. So near he came that one would expect his luxuriant coat to snag 'pon broken sticks. But like a whisp of a breeze, he went uncaught and unhindered, gathering feet beneath so that as he fell to the point that the hardy trunk of the tree was only inches away he could vault from it. A cant of the wings later he drew himself upwards again, backwinging a few times to burn off momentum and settle afront the gilded feline. The stirred air from knowledgeabley wielded wings should caress the female at his front, the drop to feet fluidly flowing into a bow with top-hat clutched within one wing-talon.

"Gruess gott, reizend dame." he said by way of greeting whilst in the midst of his bow, straightening and baring widely a smile that revealed prominant fangs. Still heis tones were deep, and somewhat gutteral though not unpleasantly so. This was a voice that flowed not from the throat, but from deep in the diaphragm. "Greetings, lovely lady." he said next, this second phrase flowing in the same fashion as the first. Clearly- a translation. "The beauty of the evening is redoubled in your presence, fair one." he continued. "I am Vlaj Drakul, puppet master of the cast 'From Hell'. What would one so charming as yourself be known as?"

Blinking the feline watched the puppet master fall towards the ground, and zipped through the branches like they were nothing. She took a step back as she saw him land right infront of her feeling the wind from his own wings. Silebian could now fully see the top hat and she was now sure that he was a puppet master. Her beautiful form shifted from the left to the right as she found the right spot to be comfortable.
Still she had a soft smile and her tail continued to flick her fluffy tail around behind her. Glancing at the moon then back at him and smiled a little more hearing is compliment. After hearing his name she blinked and glanced around then looked at him, but then with her feline paw brushed the dirt so it was clear. She had to figure out a way to tell her name to others when no one who was around that knew her could say what her name was. So she finally started to write her name in the dirt but that was really the only thing she had the patients to write. Writing out her name almost deep enough so it was easy to read, and she looked back up at him her ears slightly wondering what he would think knowing he must know that she was a Silence.

"Silebian...." he said, a slight questioning tone twined in as gaze lifted from the smooth earth to that lovely creature which perched at his front. So eerie were those eyes, a smooth crimson that suggested even the fluid of his tears was blood. "A lovely name for a lovely marionette." he guessed. "But you are mute, mein schatz? Such a pity... I am sure had you a voice it would be as entrancing as your appearance. Have you a cast, dame?" Ah- such a perfect prize. Surely even Jaku could approve of such a catch as this one! She was the picture of elegance. And Vlaj burned to posess such elegance, regardless of his charming demeanor.

Sile nodded her head once hearing him speak her name in a questioning tone and she smiled happily. Her tail wrapped around infront to cover her feet once more and she tilted her head to the side hearing his comment. This made her faintly blush at that comment then listening to his other words she just blinked a few times. She would have never guessed her voice would be as entrancing as her appearance. The Marionette's ears perked forward as he asked if she was in a cast, though she shook her head no. She wanted to be in one for as long as she could remember, but her being mute stopped her from trying to get into one. She just figured if a puppet master wanted her then they would ask. Silebian wondered if Vlaj was thinking of putting her in his cast which made her a little excited though she didn't show it. For if he didn't ask then she would feel as dumb, so she waited patiently to hear his words which she always enjoyed listening to others because of her lack of speaking.

It was somewhere between relaxing and disconcerning... to have such an ease in conversation as the chiroptae experienced tonight. Meyhaps he was too much accustomed to exchanging suggestive banter and the occasional witty quip. No matter though. Scarlet-hued eyes were to the feline, and to her alone. Upwards he drew himself, wing-arms serving as forelegs as breastbone was drawn up in a self-important fashion. "Would you, my lovely, be interested in joining a cast then? Eagerly do we accept such lovely beings as yourself. You've only to pass the scrutiny of my fellow, Jaku."

Staring at the puppet master she really couldn't take her eyes off of him, and she only shifted her form every now and then. Silebian heard his question and a smile appeared on her face and she let him finish speaking before she nodded yes. She would enjoy being in a cast more then anything, though she was curious of who this Jaku was. Her look and how she tilted her head after he spoke of the name could easily send a message of who was that. She really has never met any other puppet master but she has heard of a few. Fluffy tail flicked about freely over her paws hopeing that he understood the question she would liked answered.

Immediately her consent is followed by a broad smile, the light that glinted from bared fangs making them only this much more prominant. Silken were his words, and doting his gaze, "I am flattered by your willingness, pretty poppet." he said, following her curious expression seamlessly. "Jaku is my fellow Puppet Master, within our cast. 'Tis always best that we present potential members to each other, so as to avoid.... conflict." The final word is spoken almost daintily. One wing-arm is lifted, flaring open to welcome her to his side. "And if you are ready, Silebain, we may take ourselves a pleasant walk and keep an eye and ear alertly pricked for my fellow."

Smiling as she listened to his words glad that he knew what question she wanted answered. Sile was somewhat excited to meet this other puppet master but then yet she was nervous as well. Then when he spoke about them taking a walk she just smiled and nodded, she was pretty well rested now. Standing up from her sitting position she shook her tail from side to side as to get the dirt off her back side. She then waited for Vlaj to lead the way and she glanced around at the beautiful night once more before looking back at him with a soft gentle smile.
