The soft night air was still and quiet. Not that it was ever anything else after the sun set. Nighttime brought with it the terrors of the dark, and the utter fear of the unknown. The shadows of the eroding gravestones were the perfect backdrop for horrific deeds to be committed. But no deeds would be committed yet. At the moment, the moon was at it's fullest. It's full, brooding light was dancing across the names of the long-deceased. Any other Bone would be savouring the moment to let loose, to dance amonst the stars. All but one. A beautiful Lapine was curled in a ball at the foot of a crumbling tombstone. Her soft, ripe body shook from sadness. It was the anniversary of her mother's death. Or so she had been told. So, she was using the opportunity to cry her little soul out, in hopes that some sympathetic Euclide would find her striking beauty appealing, and take her in. Who could resist the delicate tears of a Marionette? No self-respecting Puppet Master or even Puppeteer, surely? To anyone happening upon her, she seemed vunerable and lost, just a poor beauty wracked with greif, believing herself alone. Laysebi's mind was not calculating in the least, merely desperate. She had not had interaction with others of her kind for quite some time.

(Akin has been meaning to reply. XD but Vyn is bad and overwhelming herself with RPs >_> .....[replies anyway]) Akinoju crept silently through the graveyard, his mind momentarily free of its usual chaos. The clear night and his talk with the Tragedy earlier had soothed his inner demons...at least for the time being. However, his peaceful walk w as ending sooner than he had expected. In the near distance the air was filled with the sound of sorrow. For most, that realization wouldn't have made much sense, but to one as empathic as Akinoju, it made worlds of it. Velvet paws pressed on, drawn by the sorrow that filled the air and the need to soothe it. How could he enjoy being at peace when another was so touched with grief? A few more hops, and then he saw her. So very beautiful, curled up at the base of a headstone and sobbing out her misery. For a moment Akin was frozen where he stood, surprised by his own abrupt emotions. However, he quickly pressed them back with logic: why was a Bone type in such misery when the full moon usually brought them such pleasure? Another step forward. "Mademoiselle?" He questioned lightly, in a voice surprising tender for an Euclides, but perhaps not so for a Lapine. "Why do you cry, my beautiful lady? Surely one so lovely as yourself has nothing to be sorrowful for?"

Laysebi lifted her head ever so slowly, allowing a single tear to slide down her creamy cheek. Someone had found her at last!
"Oh, oh! If only you knew..."
She whimpered softly to the hard-packed dirt, avoiding his eyes. She shut her eyes tightly as if merely by closing them she could block out her misery. As soon as she knew that a cascade of tears would not tumble out when she opened her eyes, she blinked. Now she could turn her beautiful gaze towards her savior.
She allowed herself a delicate, lady-like gasp of surprise. Another like her! Well, in breed, anyways. She stumbled to an upright position and bowed her head low to him to cover her surprise.
"I am very sorry you had to find me like this, monsieur. May I inquire as to your name?"
Her voice was barely above a whisper, almost as if she were afraid that should she become too loud, it would scare the lovely creature before you. And lovely he was! Such coloration she had never seen before! She longed to know his story, his name, everything about him. Oh, how she had missed this! The conversation, the physical touching!

Akinoju stood on the edge of anxiety, absently allowed his empathy free reign. He would do whatever it took to comfort this lovely Lapine.
"Ah, my dear, you'll find I'm more understanding than most."
Surprise echoed in his eyes at the murmur of surprise that tinted her. Had he done something? No, she was pleased, even if she was surprised by his presence. A low, tentative smile. As hopeful as you'd expect any compassionate Soul type to be.
"M'lady, there's no need to be sorry." A hesitant step forward, his voice as low as her own. "I am Akinoju, Script Writer for the Cast of Blood and Gold."
Gracefully the Lapine effected a short bow, rising and offering her a lovely smile. She was heavenly, this marvelous Lapine, and Akinoju was so very sure he was unworthy of her attentions.
"And you, lovely Marionette, what are you called?"

Laysebi's ears twitched. She felt an emotion that was almost tangible, lingering on the edge of her consiousness. She couldn't quite grasp the word for it, but his words clarified it for her. Of course, empathy! He was a Soul, after all.
She took a deep breath and braced herself for his inevitable look of disapproval upon hearing she was associated with the only female Puppet Master as of yet.
"Laysebi. I do not have the privilage of calling my cast by name, as we have none yet." Her tone took on a girlish, wistful quality. "But I do hope one comes soon. Do you know of Laekubi?"
She lowered her eyes, heat creeping up her face. Had she been in her human form, she would have blushed. It had been too long since such charming words had been ravished upon her. Too long, indeed.
"If you don't mind my asking, kind sir, but what brought you out her?"

Akin tilted his head lightly, bright eyes vivid and gently curious. Where sorrow had been the dominant emotion a moment ago, it had now switched, becoming almost defensive. The male shifted lightly, had he done something to warrant her uneasiness?
"A pleasure to meet you, Laysebi." Akin bowed with polite grace before straightening and smiling thoughtfully. "Laekubi?"
The lapine paused momentarily in thought. He made it a point to remember figures of importance, and Laysebi's announcement made Laekubi seem to be just that. Within a moment it came to him, nothing more than a quiet acknowledgment from Jien many nights ago.
The Puppet Master without her Top Hat, the blood canine, Laekubi. Yes, he knew of her.
"Only in passing, I must admit. I've never met her, though I would like to. A female Puppet Master isn't she? I haven't seen or heard of many of those in this city."
The Script Writer smiled musingly, already craving more knowledge on the female Puppet Master. If he had heard correctly there was at least one other in the city, but they were still out numbered by the masculine representatives of their ranks.
Had he been more willing to open himself to his more outgoing side, he might've purred in pleasure at the reaction he had lured from her. However, he was only the reserved Soul he showed himself to be, even if it was only a forced facade.
"I was merely walking among the graves... I needed time away from my Cast to think." A low sigh left him momentarily before cutting off as his attention redoubled upon the lovely Marionette. "Are you working to make a Cast with Laekubi? Or are you two only friends?"
A small part of Akin craved this beauty's company, wishing that he could bring this child back to his home with him. Yet, if she belonged to Laekubi's Cast, that would be quite the unlikely task. Passing friends, mayhaps, but never anything more. Affections were not found in separate casts, not in a society such as theirs.

The Bone hid a satisfied smile at her companions reply. She would have been disappointed indeed had he not heard of the One Without Her Hat, so to call her.
Her smile receeded slightly as she realized that what he said was true: there were not very many female Puppet Masters. She'd like to see more of them, to be honest.
"I'm sure she'd like to meet such a lovely gentleman as yourself, Akinoju." She replied breathily, her gaze cast towards the ground once more. What was he doing to her, exactly? Or maybe she was feeling this way because he was the only ever Lapine she'd ever met...the only one like her she'd ever known.
She paused from that line of thought when she heard his next question...was she looking to make a cast with Laekubi? Or would she rather be with him?
"Well...we are friends, this is true...but...we don't have an official cast yet, and I'm really not sure...and..." she stumbled over her words, more thinking out loud than anything, making her seem like a bit of a ditz. "
She racked her mind...he said he was in the Cast of Blood and Gold? Was their Puppet Master not Kujien? Oh, dear! He rather scared her.
"Your Puppet Master is Kujien...I mean, I think he is...he's, well, a bit scary, to be honest."
Would she be willing to leave Laekubi and go with this beautiful stranger to his cast? Only time would tell...
