The wind was both a blessing and a curse that night. Not a soul was left outside when the hoards of Euclides, Amuni, and Defore made their way across the commonly packed streets. The stink of animal and the commotion they made kept the weary homeless from straying too close. All of them, there must have been thousands, were headed toward one, tiny building. A shack of a thing, really, with broken windows and peeling paint, battered walls and boarded doors. The creatures slunk through every open entrance they could find, and soon it too was swarming with agitated Euclides and their cousins. Arry watched this all with nervousness building in his gut. A single murdon would not be able to control these hoards of animals if they decided to attack. Minor fights had already broken out within the group, mainly between the Amuni and Euclides. A few dead, bleeding bodies were scattered about, and more were being nipped at every minute. The majority had split apart to be with their respective species, preferring not to mingle with the others. Arry would be more than a little relieved when this was all over. Finally there came a gentle prodding against his mind, and he slipped off of the long legged table he'd been sitted on. It was time to find The Five. Oh Zar. This was going to take some time. ---------------------- Alrighties ^^ This is the Open Pre-Hunt roleplay. Seeing as the Hunt is going to have major plot-influence over the entire board (eventually), Mem decided to let you guys play here. Those who have done up applications for the hunt may also roleplay their characters here, if they'd like. Keep in mind that -all- Euclides/Amuni/Defore have been summoned here, so you may RP as many of your pretties as you'd like. This is will only be open until the 10th. Mem is also not going to be participating in this very much. By participating in this, though, your character will probably have a better chance at being accepted. AND any non-character Euclides/Amuni/Defore might get mentioned in the official introduction for the Hunt Start. >3 ---------------------- This thread is limited to only 5 Participants: 1: Enko 2: Daoni 3: Leto 4: Jaseu 5: Tiki

The place was filled with crazies. He had been lunged at nearly twice as he ran away from the other fights and the strange creatures as well as the feminine male defore he had met in the ally way. He finally was able to find a dark ally farther away from the calls. The walls of the buildings next to eachother blocked out most of the light that was coming from different sorces. In the dark he watched silently as other Defore and strange creatures headed toward the call, towards the fights, the slaughtering.
It was almost as if the creator had called them all together to have them exterminate one another. He growls deep in his throat as he feels himself begin to get emotional. These creators were monsters! The moment he got to meet them he was going to rip them to shreads. How dare they create such hatred amoungst their creations! How dare they set up the problems that plagued him and probably several others out here today. Why didn't they try to stop the fighting? The deaths. He shook his head as memories from the past flooded his head. Images similar to the ones he had been running away from, away from the creators and his memory mimics. Alo...dead...he had seen many others on this day in the same condition he had been. He only hoped that maybe their loved ones were dead...or would not suffer as much as he did.
He began to feel his eyes water and he closed them. Not that anyone was going to see him, but crying made him feel weaker then he already was. He layed down in the dirt of the alley, crossing his paws and laying his head a top them. He hoped that no one would find him. He looked up as the call continued for the creatures to come to their creator, and he couldnt deny having the great urge to go back, plow through the entire group of creatures and get up close to them.

Sitiki was getting steadily more annoyed within all the confusion and all the bodies... and all the Amuni, Amuni made her sick to the stomach even know she knew they were nothing special, not even the Popes and Cardinals. She just couldn't take it anymore and the lovely little feline skittered her way back out, out into somewhat fresh air and less crowding, as even here there were still other beings.
She continued on a bit and finally found an area which seemed void of any others and breathed a sigh of relief. It was dirty, yes, the air was slightly stale, yes but my was it wonderful after being in that room. She even went so far as to let out a delighted little purr as she moved down the alleyway, obsidian chain jingling ever so slightly with every graceful movement. Her two-toned tail curled behind her in a half loop and she just seemed like a Euclides who was nothing but pleased with the world, which was exceptionally puzzling since she was of the Slaughter Type and -hadn't- killed anything this day, yet anyhow.
Delicate auditories twitched as she heard a muffled sound, a sound reminiscent of crying and instantly her attention, and curiosity, was snared. Muscles tightened, sending her into motion again, slowly, stealthily, well with as much stealth as one wearing a chain around their body could move, towards the origin of the sound. Years prior she'd spent many a night in tears, wishing to be struck down dead where she lay rather then keep going, but that was different now, revenge had been taken and everything was right in the world again, but apparently not for every living soul.
Aha! She spotted the figure of another just ahead and moved with bolder steps now that she could see what she was up against, should it decide to attack. Auditories flicked forward, standing at full attention as she came up to the other, a Defore it seemed, and lowered her head to get slower to his tears, the inquisitive look that found it's way to her countenance gave her ever appearance of a large kitten. He didn't seem injured, no, she didn't catch any of the tell tale scent of blood anyhow, he was alone but obviously by choice, so what was his problem? She was totally intrigued and cleared her throat to get his attention before speaking, her voice hinting at an Irish origin. "What troubles yuh so lad?"

Daoni made an easy leap through a broken window, landing smoothly on the dirt cobblestones, becoming instantly drenched in the stormy English rain. A slow sigh poured from him, thankful to have followed Enko out into the open air. However, the panicked canine was still on the run and still more likely than not to become the meal of one of the unsavory sorts the scholarly Lapine had mentioned to him.
With each swift step away from the warehouse the radio whine grew louder, more persistent. However, Daoni forced himself to ignore it and continued to pursue his target: the Fire Canine first, and then the creators.
Daoni could relate to Enko's dissatisfaction with their creators. It was true, he'd heard nothing of them in his lifetime. However, he knew enough from listening to the fascinating Greek plays to make his own assumption about his creator. Undoubtedly they were like any other god. They created the Euclides and their cousins as entertainment, and in true godly fashion, they allowed them to do as they pleased. To make their own realities.
Alas, not every being made the best of their reality, and turmoil was always destined to set in. In Daoni's personal world, it was his failure to act which was his downfall but that would never be true again.
Finally Daoni slid around the corner and into a filthy alleyway guarded from the rain by the roofs which bridged the small area. Shaking his coat lightly he took a few smooth steps forward before pausing in his tracks. The Defore he'd been following was no longer alone.
In fact, if he judge his newfound knowledge probably, then the Defore's company was an Euclides. He had heard some unsavory things about the Euclides majority, not to mention the eyeful of proof he'd seen while inside the warehouse, and so Daoni wasn't exactly quick to trust the feline femme...even if she did appearer to be in a rather jovial mood.
So Daoni made his way down the alley toward Enko and Tiki, his beaded bracelets rattled softly, accenting to the soothing strum of rain. Yet, despite his obvious approach, Daoni didn't bother to speak. Instead he allowed the Euclides to ask the question which had been waiting on the tip of his tongue since he'd dashed out of the warehouse in pursuit of the skittish Fire.

He had only let out a sob. Just one, which he thought would go unheard due to the fact he was rather sure that he was alone, until his equally sensitive ears picked up the traces of another being. He pushed himself up against the wall, hoping the creature hadn't heard him and might just saunter past, thinking he was a pile of something rather then a creature it could pester, or possibly and more probably, seeing how others were falling victim to several creatures, kill. He held his breath, and continued to push himself slowly into the wall.
But it was far to late, his one tiny sob had been noticed by what looked to be a rather lethal feline female. He stared at her for a moment with his blue eyes, eyes that matched the color of the stone he wore around his neck. He paniced slightly when she stuck her face close to his. This couldn't be a Defore...he had never seen anything like this. In a despreate attempt to protect himself he rattled his head slightly, swinging his antlers close to her face in warning. "Get away from me!" He said in what sounded to be a confident voice faked by one who was obviously nervous.
It was only a second or two after he rattled his antlers at the female that he heard her question. Still placing his antlers in a protective position between her and him, he pushed himself further into the wall. It almost hurt him to put so much force into the wall behind him. "It's none of your business what my troubles are." He says, sounding just a tad more confident then before, but mostly because he was annoyed by the female's question. Who was she to suddenly come up to a creature that obviously wanted to be alone and ask what was wrong. Not that he hadn't gotten that alot from different passerbys, but at least some of the others looked like they were genuinely interested. This one just looked like she was waiting for him to put his guard down so she could rip him to shreads.
Out of the corner of his eye he could spy the feminine male who had approached him before. Had he been following him? Was this some sort of ambush? Backed throughly against the wall he had nothing to do but fight his way out now. He growled at the female and shook his horns viciously at her, trying to get her to give him more room. "And what are YOU doing here?" he asked the male, while looking shiftly at them both. He couldn't take his eyes off one for to long, if he did, the other might try and attack. He trusted no one in this strange land, which wasn't very different from the everyday distrust at any rate, though the darkness of the urban setting made his trust even more shaky it seemed.

One sob was all it took in an empty alleyway, well an almost empty one anyhow. She'd initially thought herself to be alone as well, but obviously they had both been wrong. Anyhow, she was terribly confused as to why he was pressing himself up against the wall as he was, she was quite certain she didn't look all that ferocious. She was small for a Euclides, or any of the species really, due to lack of proper nutrition early on, her body was very relaxed, to the point where she looked down right pleased, and she couldn't recall growling or showing her fangs, how on earth could he find he frightening?
She pulled her head back a bit when his antlers came near her face, the action had surprised her and that glorious two-toned plume straightened it's self out, no long in a pleasant half curl, but switching to an alert, undecided positioning instead. A terribly confused look appeared upon her delicate countenance and she tilted her head to one side ever so slightly, an inquisitive undertone still remained in her body posture.
At his first set of words she ducked her head a bit, backing away to give him room, a small portion of her obsidian chain dragging lightly over the alleys floor, she looked... offended? Maybe. When it came to other breeds she wasn't as aggression prone as most Euclides, a few Amuni traits and values having slipped into her way of living unknowingly. If she hadn't had a tad to much pride for it she might've let a sigh escape her maw.
Auditories drooped at the growl and he expression switched again, this time to a pouty one that resembled a mere bebe ready to cry, part of this was just an act, all Marionette's worth a damn could put on a good act, the other half was that she was genuinely put off by this obvious rejection. She had merely been trying to be civil, unlike her counterparts inside that dratted building, but it seemed the youthful Slaughter femme wasn't permitted a civil moment.
She backed away from him, more of her chain dragging as her tail wasn't held up like it usually was and she sat back upon her haunches across the alleyway from the Defore, her spine very nearly gracing the wall with it's touch, but remaining a hair's length from it. Auditories twitched back up when the defore she'd put all her focus on spoke again and she tilted her head a bit, recognizing that it wasn't her that he was speaking to.
Empty visionaries took in the sight of another Defore, they -had- to be defore, that was the only sub-species she'd heard of but never truly seen. She flicked an ear back, whole heartedly expecting him to have much the same reaction as the first. The very tip of her tail twitched in slight agitation.

Daoni watched the interaction with vague amusement. So defensive for such a nervous fellow, but that was expected wasn't it? All wild creatures were like that, especially ones who'd been given reason to abandon their trust. A tufted auditory twitched as Enko directed his accusing tone toward him.
"Making sure you don't get eaten alive, of course."
He continued his slow pace down the alleyway, trying not to appear as if he was gliding in for an attack on either of the two. Each step was accented by the clattered of his bracelets, soft and rhythm as if he were keeping time to a song in his head.
"You're a Nindian, aren't you handsome?" Daoni tilted his head slightly, as his silver orbs settled gently upon the fire male. "I won't make assumptions...but I could believe you're going through the same thing I am."
Daoni settled onto his haunches in front of Enko, though he was careful to keep the distance between them. He didn't want to be the one who was impaled by those elegant deer-like horns. Momentarily he shifted his gaze onto Tiki, hoping she'd understand that he wasn't purposefully neglecting her. However, he was more concerned with soothing Enko before he made another foolish dash back into a crowd of beasts that would more than likely to hear him to shreds because of his defensive paranoia.
"This city isn't at all comfortable for someone who's used to being alone in the wild all his life. Especially when the welcoming committee is...less than friendly. Its beyond overwhelming."
Daoni's tone reflected his serene eyes, silvery and flowing, tinted with the exotic flare of a Grecian accent.. It was a skill he'd learned through years of practice, but it was more natural than anything else to him now.

He wasn't phased by the female's offended look, in his mind he had done nothing wrong. How was he to know that she was genuinely interested in how he was? The way she looked was offencive, not in that she looked bad as in...ugly, just that her looks didnt look all that inviting for friendship in his book. She may be skinny, but he had seen skinny animals before, graceful beings, rip things to shreads. Their small frame gave them the ablity to fast in and fast out before the other creature could even touch them, and nothing was as fast as watching two seemingly graceful creatures fight. Her claws were sharp, and he was sure behind that pout was some razor sharp fangs to match. Besides that he had never trusted felines, which was a trait passed down in his caravan. Trust only thoughs who sing to the moon and leap with the grace of an etereal being. Basically wolves and deer and horses are your friends, trust no one else. And even that now was shakey. If they knew they probably wouldn't blame him.
He kept his shifty gaze on the both of them, just in case, but he narrowed his eyes at the male's words. He could take care of himself...sorta. Ok he had to admit, that if that was the truth and he wasn't trying to ambush him after all, he was greatful. Nothing said he had to admit this out loud though. He growled slightly at the male's second comment. "Well if that isn't an assumption thats a pretty darn bold statement." He does not adress the fact that he is a Ninidian or the seemingly fresh comment the male gave him. He practically wreaked of Ninidian, and he didn't mind it one bit, at least as long as he wasn't around a Cionre. He hoped this male wasn't one.
When he settled in front of him his muscles tenced slightly and then let go, several times, as if his mind was trying to decide to calm down or not. The look he gave the female made him tence slightly...some sort of communication happened between them that he couldn't see clearly. "I noticed that." he said just as cruelly when the creature tried to calm him slightly with understanding words. He just wanted to be left alone, to whatever end that would lead. All the while he answered them in short curt scentences. Soon they would get tired of his untalkitivity and would reveal their true purpose for being anywhere near him, it's how these interactions always worked out. The male looked very calm, and there was something about his eyes that seemed familiar, but he shooed away the cloudy thought with a mental hand.

Daoni raised an eyebrow gently, a slight lop-sided smile appearing on his muzzle.
"Your variation is obvious. You'd be more accustomed to this life if you were Cionre." He slid his silver eyes over the male's form, using the chance to study him slightly. Quite handsome for a Canine... "And the rest, I was just telling you how I felt. If it links up, then perhaps I can help you a bit...if not, then I'm sorry to have chased you all the way out here." He chuckled and shook his head lightly to cast off clinging beads of water, though it absently rattled the coral pendant he wore as well. "Though I must admit the run through the rain was refreshing...nothing like a swim in the ocean, but refreshing nonetheless."
Daoni wasn't always this talkative...in fact, he'd spent the better part of 10 years carefully avoiding the need to converse with others. However, if these 'creators' were going to force him into giant crowds more frequently, he might as well learn to like it. Of course, there was also the strange Nindian he was sharing company with. In some cases, just hanging around long enough without eating them is enough to calm a skittish creature. It didn't always work, but it was at least something.
The other male seemed like enjoyable company...at least, when he wasn't ready to run you through with his impressive horns.
"Of course you did. I wasn't hiding it from you." A soft, reassuring smile flickered momentarily onto his muzzle before fading away once more. "After all, my main intention was to talk with you, but ignoring the young lady completely would've been rude."
He tilted his gaze over toward the feline. Judging by her hollow eyes, he had to assume she wasn't a Defore like himself and his companion, meaning she was undoubtedly Euclides. He'd have to learn more about them some other time...for now his attention was focused on Enko.

It was cold. Not only that, but it was stuffy and crowded and his fur was getting painted with rain-streaked dirt. He could barely see out of his monocle, which didn't help his nerves in the slightest, and the only way to make anything better would be to go inside. Which probably would've ended up just as bad, only a different sort of bad. Jaseu weighed his options. Cold, dirty, and crowded. Hot, stuffy, and crowded. He growled, lifted perfectly curved and whiskered chops to bear his fangs at...well...whomever had their eyes cast in his direction. He could make out nothing more than blurred, grey shapes in the drizzle and fog.
He rose to his paws, over-sized and white, as beautiful as any wild European Lynxes, each nail curved and crafted to perfection. Ah, the joys of being a marionette. He wiggled said claws, succeeding only in covering them with dark mud.
Ah, the evils of being a marionette stuck outside in the rain and muck. If only he had not given away his handsome fur coat. Perhaps he'd be better of as a humanoid amongst the rabble of ungainly persons, crowded around the tiny shack-like warehouse. But no, he was glad he'd passed it on to needy, lovely, hands. He wouldn't have changed a thing about his previous actions. Future one's looked much more pleasant. Warm, sheltered, and in a tub full of hot water with a pretty face behind him to wash off all this disgusting dirt.
Jaseu frowned down at himself, flicking his paws in a cat-like manor in attempt to rid them of some of the mud. Not only was this frustratingly embarrassing, it was also quite unbecoming of his appearance. And his vision. What the Inspiration wouldn't give to wipe his monocle clean, just so he could see a few feet in front of himself. His fur was fair crackling with the intensity it has bristled to.
Jaseu had become little more than a nervous, irritant, bundle of nerves and impatience.

Ever since he'd encountered the human child, Lyra, Leto had been spending his day's in Kujien's theatre; a wonderful deal for a vampire without any real home. However, on this rainy night he had decided to stay in and not bother with the chilly wind and rain. Yet, as he gazed out at the windswept streets an odd sight caught his attention and made the halfling debate if he really wanted to stay in.
The streets were packed with Euclides and Amuni alike, not to mention a select few that Leto had never seen before, all plowing toward one location. Abruptly there was a clattered within the Theatre as the inhabitants abruptly flooded out into the streets following the lure of something he couldn't here.
"Leto!" A small form came rushing into his room, her bright eyes wide and confused. "Where are they going?! What's going on?"
"I'm not sure..." Leto frowned in perplexity. "I'll go find out, but I want you to stay here... Jien won't be happy if you get eaten."
With a nod to the lovely, Marionette-like human, Leto made his way toward the door, snagging an umbrella off the table as he did. He'd made it all the way to the door of the Theatre before Lyra caught up with him, thrusting a bundle of white into his hands.
"Its windy out there."
She announced sweetly before dashing off down the hall and vanishing through the door into the attic. She'd probably wait there with the Di, watching from the attic windows. Shaking his head, Leto slipped the smooth white fur coat on: a present from his ravishing Marionette.
Opening the umbrella, he pressed out into the windswept night and made his way after the tide of Euclides, and Amuni, ever curious about the bizarre others that speckled the group. Deer? Bears? That didn't make sense in the least, but he had more important things to debate. Namely, was the source of all this confusion, and the answer to that came swiftly enough as Leto approached the small warehouse where the massive rabble was gathering.
Brilliant green eyes flashed through the crowd, making note of figures he recognized as well as those he didn't. Without realizing it he'd been seeking one in particular, one that he, belated, realized he'd never seen in their true form. Well, he still had the monocle to go by...after all, how many Euclides sported them?
Finally his eyes settled on a brilliant white form amiss the chaos, looking blatantly put out but sporting the monocle Leto had been searching for. Like a ghost he maneuvered the mess of wet Euclides, Amuni and strangers and slid up behind the blind beauty.
"Jaseubi?"
His voice was light, a whisper in comparison to the noise around them, but its owner was unmistakable. After all, Leto sported a rather unique accent from his small home town.
