The Wishing Pond is a game, and costs tokens to play. But can a character approach the pond IC for other reasons? And how would the character go about doing so?

If you wanted to "interact" with the wishing pond as a setting (for an rpg thread?), you could just start your own thread in Sultherem and mention that you are at the wishing pond. C:
If you, OoC, wanted your character to approach and play the game, whilst IC, you character just wanted to interact with the pond, just reply to the Wishing Pond thread and keep your character IC. So long as they do attempt to fish (to collect those fishies? >3), the game will be played.

Assuming the latter, If you, OoC, wanted your character to approach and play the game, whilst IC, you character just wanted to interact with the pond, just reply to the Wishing Pond thread and keep your character IC. So long as they do attempt to fish (to collect those fishies? >3), the game will be played. Would my character still get CP for responding IC? I mean, typically, if I, OoC, wanted my character to approach and play the game, I would be trading game tokens for the chance to attempt to fish, and the fish are the possible prizes, so I probably wouldn't get CP from that, right? Whereas a character, IC, wanting to interact with the pond, would very probably want to earn CP, if the interaction was intended to further the general occupation towards securing a business permit? (I hope that's clear enough, the IC and OoC between writer and character are confusing to convey, even if I get the general idea what you mean!)

You get CP for responding regardless of the intent. You need an IC response in order to play the game (in which the game tokens could be chucked into the pond for 'good luck').
So, either way, Zara would earn CP for responding to/interacting with/trying to play "the Wishing Pond." C: Hope that clears things up.
