Actually, Kaerjius's "formal" political name would now be Thrikaerjios, wouldn't it? For the province ending-standard?
I see Maati living in Eneis primarily, though he travels as a Missionary. Would he customarily go by Maatijai, with the 'i' ending necessary, or...? What would be standard?

Because Kaerjius is originally from earth, he doesn't need to change his names to fit the cultural requirements. C: Old worlders get to keep their old world names.
The "thri" is just formal, for his occupation.
So Maatij can still be Maatij. Names don't need to be changed. (Characters can also be born in one province, named appropriately for their background, and move to another while still keeping their original name. It's just a culture thing.)

Awesome sauce-um. Maati will remain Maatija then, since he wouldn't want to change it. <3 And I have a feeling that Kaerjius is fine with any of the three incarnations (Kaerjius / Thrikaerjius / Thrikaerjios) so long as it's said respectfully. Kekekeke.
