Hiring Staff
The OW was a lot for me to handle, particularily with plots and keeping up on reading RPGs (I'll admit, I read very few. I would very, very much appreciate hiring a few moderators to help me out with this. I'm going to be looking for 2-3 mods.
Note: Some of you (I believe Tigs and FP?) had been moderators prior to the reboot. I have reset you back to being members, not out of spite, but because I hadn't outlined any duties, and a lot has changed during the reboot. You are more than welcome to reapply for mod-ship now.
Note #2: If you would like to become a "mini-mod" feel free to indicate as such in your form. This means that you would only be interested in some of the duties required, such as juding events, moderating spars, or keeping track of the national bank/game tokens/etc.
Requirements[/u]
- You must have AIM and/or MSN, to allow more efficient communication between staff members of ML.
- You should have some previous site experience, good knowledge and use of spelling, grammer, and punctuation, and be able to form coherent roleplay responses.
- You need to have a basic understanding of how proboards admin functions work, particularily how to move, lock, and delete boards.
- You must be friendly and accepting, willing to aid members (new and old) when they need help, and be welcoming and understanding of new members.
- A level head, and the ability to keep it when under stress.
Duties[/u]
- Reading roleplay posts, making sure that content is appropriate and that threads are placed in the correct boards.
- Making sure threads outside of roleplay are also placed in the correct board, and moving them if need be. (eg. "looking for faction members" is in the plotting board, rather than the faction registry.)
- Replying to posts in provincial shops and games.
- Roleplaying NPCs and "natural occurances", in both rp-threads and mini/meta-plots.
- Keeping track of tokens and secor in the national bank
- Moderating OoC content, particularily if drama arises.
- Accepting/declining membership applications.
- Judging games/contests.
- Judge/moderate official spars.
- Removing closed topics to archives.
Important Notes[/u]
- As a moderator, you will not be able to enter any contests you choose to judge, nor reply to your own characters in games or the pawn shop (all other shops with set prices are fine). Please keep this in mind when you are applying. While you will be able to choose which events you'd like to judge for the most part, some events will require a minimum amount of judges, and if there are only a few mods available, you'll have to step up to the plate.
- You will not be given access to the admin account or the official ML website.
Benefits[/u]
- You automatically receive PP for becoming a moderator. You will also receive a monthly salary of PP (and/or secor for your characters).
- I will set the current amount at 100 PP per month, but I welcome negotiation.
