THE POTIONS MASTER
[/center][/size][/u]High in the mountains of Southern Turacha lies a tiny building, nestled in the deep craigs of a cavern face. It is solid built of rock and stone, chipped with frozen ice. Almost invisible against the natural juts and wells of the mountainside. But the door, you notice, in unlatched, and the thick smell of long dead organs fills the air nearby. It seems...warm here.
If you found this little mountain retreat, you already know what it contains. This is the home of the potions master. You may enter, he welcomes guests, but be wary. Not everything is as at seems.
.// RULES
- The potions master's hut is not quite a game, and not quite a shop. In order to get any of his wares, a character is going to have to go through quite a long process of dealing and impressing the master himself.
- Unlike provincial games, a character doesn't need any other posts in Turacha in order to play. It is perfectly normal (IC) for a character to visit Turacha for the sole purpose of seeing the potions master. All posts in this thread must be in-character, though. (You will receive CP for replies.)
- A character may only visit the potions master once per month, regardless of whether or not they've succeeded. Furthermore, a single character may not receive more than three "gifts" total from the potions master.
- There are no returns or refunds on items purchased from this shop.
- You are taking a risk in visiting the potions master. Your character may be permanently and drastically changed, you may receive items or abilities you do not want, or you may waste secor and time by not receiving anything from him. Please keep these repercussions in mind when you choose to interact in this shop.
- Don't request ingredients the potions master currently doesn't have in stock.
- The potions master is fully within his rights to kick anyone out of his hut. Be careful about exchanging valuable goods with him.
.// HOW TO PLAY[/u]
- Start off with a post detailing your entrance to the potion master's hut. A mod will then post with the potion master's response, or by informing you that the potions master is currently busy or out.
- You should then offer something of value to the potions master, in exchange for his services. This can be items, secor, or pets. But feel free to get creative and offer him something outside the box.
- If the potions master accepts your bribe, he'll show you his current stock, and tell you how much your items are worth to him. Each potion ingredient comes with a basic value, and you can pick what you want based on this.
- Once you've chosen your ingredients, you have three choices for the type of potion the potion master will make for you. He can effect the character visiting him, any item the character has in their inventory, or create a general potion that will have a specific effect once drunk (helpful in role-play and rp event situations).
- Tell the potion master what you've decided, and he'll get to work. Potions will often take a couple days to complete, so he'll send you on your way and contact you by message when the potion is complete.
