Just to let you guys know how much new information is being typed up, I copied all my current work into a word document, and changed the font to times new roman, size 12.
There are 101 pages of new information so far. This excludes everything on this forum, and is only taking into account the information that will be available on the website.
The current word count for those 101 pages is 36,089.
I'm not updating on here very much, I realize that. But I just wanted to let you guys know I am plugging along with this. I'm not sorry for taking longer than I had originally estimated. There are going to be a lot more character bonuses, interactive ways to play, things to earn, and culture to turn the new setting into a vibrant, colorful role-play.
I'm also explaining a lot of things that cropped up on the original board, but were mostly ignored or brushed over. This includes soul strands, hybrids (which will now be permitted), "blessed insects", murdon blessings and gifts, and defore's elemental magic (did anyone do anything with their ninidia, this way?)
Disturblings will also get to play a bigger role in the revamp!
They're not just for collecting anymore. They can actually earn your characters items and points. Whoo-hoo!
There's still a lot of work to be done, so I'm not going to post a new opening date for the revamp. I hope to have enough information completed that I'm willing to open our doors in January. There are still a few major sections (the guilds, mostly) that need to be written up, then the final forum updates (including awesome new places to gain character prestige and history) will be completed.
The website is actually up, and has a functioning layout. I won't be giving out the url because none of the write-ups are edited yet (ugh) and relevant information is not linked together, which makes for a confusing read. But, for those sneaky individuals, if you hunt around the board long enough you'll find a few broken links using the website's address.
Graphics for items, familiars, the board, and the website will be done last.
