THE WHEEL OF HORRORS
[/u]On a platform in Turra's frigid mainstreet sits an odd looking wooden wheel. It is seperated into twenty planks, each with a single character painted on the very end. The wheel itself seems to be attached to a loose spindle, with a needle hanging over the first few inches of the left side. Whatever could this be about?
A euclides creeps out from behind the structure, wringing his hands together," Hello there, dolly. You want to give us a spin, yes? We'll give you something pretty if you land on something nice. Won't you give it a try? Spinning won't hurt a bit, no-no."
A wry chuckle makes you think differently.
.// HOW TO PLAY
- The Wheel of Horrors is a real gamble. Remember in those old spy movies, when the 'bad guy' spins a wheel to choose the fate of his enemies? Well that's just what the Wheel of Horrors is. You spin, the arrow lands on one of twenty possibilities, and hopefully you get a prize, instead of a blight!
- The Wheel's fates are changed every month, but there are no limits on how many times a fate can be spun. Prizes (or blights) will be given out each time the arrow lands on it.
- To play, respond to this post with an in character approach to the Wheel of Horrors, including the form below.
- A moderator will use the random number randomizer on random.org, selecting 1-20, to choose what the arrow landed on.
- A moderator will then respond to your post, stating whether the tree was impressed or not, and giving you your prize!
.// RULES[/u]
- The Wheel of Horrors costs 15 Game Tokens to play. These tokens are spent. You can earn more game tokens through various games and events.
- You, as a player, may only approach the wheel a total of three times per month. It doesn't matter what (or how many) characters you use, so long as you don't exceed this limit.
- Understand that negative things can happen to your character by playing this game. You cannot ignore these effects, nor can you complain to the staff about them. All spins are randomized, and this is no one's fault. You are taking a chance with your characters when you play this game.
- A character may only spin the wheel once per post. You must wait for a response before that character can play again.
- A role-play post is required in order to play the Wheel of Horrors. (You will receive reply points for this.)
- Because the Wheel of Horrors is located in Turacha, any character who approaches it must have made at least one in-character post role-playing in this province.
