Whooo! Just finished my last exam today...and just finished packing. I'm on the plane tomorrow, to visit the parents and the like. I do have a scanner, and all my commission/etc. sketches are neatly packed away in little plastic protectors and stuck in a binder.
Pick-ups and what not should be available within the next two weeks, and I'll be judging the type contest around that time as well.
I apologize profusely for being gone so long x.X;

Your exam period was quite a long one.  I feel your glee at finally being out of a long, arduous ordeal! Testing-over = awesomeness, truly. And plane ride! I dunno how you feel about them, but I adore plane rides and consider you a lucky thing to be going on one. ...commission sketches.  Whee. ...Type contest! XD WHEE! Erk...plane rides do not a happy Mem make. I hate planes. And boats. I love long journeys across the middle of nowhere, but I'd rather have a nice set of wheels on the ground when I'm going it. Planes make me nervous.
And the only books I have to read are BIG-PHILOSOPHICAL-THINK-DEEP-THOUGHTS books. For eight hours. Straight.

I even meant to pick up some light reading (big book, but on a topic that usually isn't deep and philosophical (or well written)), but it turned out to be 600 pages of stream-of-consciousness, politics, and bildungsromans (even to rival James Joyce).
The lightest thing I'm bringing with me is Plato's Republic.
None of which will help me feel comfortable on the plane. XD I cried the last time I set foot on one. They frighten the hell out of me.
<_<;; And I have no friend with me this time, to cry on. So I damn well better calm myself down. (Mind you, I was sick that time, and exposed to a drug I'd never taken, I was borderline-hallucinating for the first part of that trip until the drowsy side-effect wore in).
But yes, commissions, and contests! The contest is going to take me forever to judge ;-; Especially with the Euclides. There's a bloody ton of awesome entries.

Nah, I'm fine. As soon as I'm in the air I come down. It's just initial shock of leaving my precious, lovely, reliable earth that gets to me. X3 I'll be all right. I'm just...panicky and uncomfortable right now.
I do have my Hamlet with me, which...isn't like, but does give me something extra to do. Memorizing quotes is always fun. ^-^

Oi, I just wouldn't read....well thats not true XD. Wicked is much lighter then those books by all accounts but it's not turning out the way that I imagined. It so much more political then I had anticipated, not that I dislike political books or movies *coughvforvendettacough*, but...I was expecting it to be a little more about witches, etc, vs revolutions XD;. But its still a very good book. I've more recently developed a fear of landing and taking off  . I'm perfectly fine with planes until that moment ;, but yeah...I've known alot of people who can't handle planes *snuggles* I'm sorry it was/is going to be so miserable for you. I would hold your hand and such...but yeah XD not there... *snuggles* |

Ouch. >_o My condolences then. I have a friend who feels about the same way when it comes to planes. Hopefully it's not a long flight?

XD You've got me there. I don't read light things normally, unless they're same-sex romances (which are usually crap, but Harlequins sell like mad, so why not?). The James Joyce rival-book is one of those, and I expected badly written fluff. x.X I actually thought there was something wrong with the book (*gasp* "It's sick!") when I started reading it, until the well-written-ness clicked in. I was shocked XD
._. Yes. Taking off is terrible. Landing I'm all right with, but I don't chew gum so it's hell on my ears. Once I'm in the air, though, I'm fine.
Eh, 6-8 hours. Not too long. I've spent i>days</i> on planes before (can't for the life of me remember where I was going). But, yes, Shakespeare makes everything better. Especially Hamlet. My copy is so worn now that it's falling apart XD
<_<;; Flight isn't until 4:30, so I'm trying to kill time without actually doing anything. Grah.

HEHE Oh...I forgot to tell the board...but I suppose its not completely appropriate so Ill just say it here were its a little more private XD. In a drunken stupor one night, after you finished your own book memmy XD, I thought with a disoriented wibble that I would write a romance novel and try to get it published XDDD. So...thats going to be a future goal of mine...and I'm already formulating the 'plot' of sorts XDDDDDDDDD. LOL its going to be really hilarious XD and terrible...because thats what all 'good' romance novels are XD
but yeah...oi...landing and taking off is the worst...and turbulance...god forbid turbulance. I don't think I've ever been on a plane for that long...though i could very well be mistaken...I feel like the longest I've ever been in a plane is like...5-6 hours...but my family doesn't do much out of USA traveling -_-...much to my displeasure...
