It's a well known fact, I'll have you know.

But, rather, Mem is once again looking for a bit of writing help, if one does not mind sending a few suggestions my way.

Any of you who popped by my first 'concerning writing' thread, may know that Mem is starting a writing project of sorts (for May). I rather enjoy posting my writings online, a very quick and easy way of keeping track of things, don't you know? But I've decided I'd like to keep publication rights for this piece. Thus, I need a...private sort of doo-hickey to post it on. I believe I read somewhere that friends only entries on livejournal work well enough, but I've never been fond of lj. Simply can't get grasp their html. Not...aesthetically pleasing enough.

Therefore, does anyone have any suggestions as to where I might put it? Where, indeed, I may allow a few close comrades to peek at it every once in a while, perhaps send a note of constructive criticism my way, and the like?

I also have a nameless main character, still. Oh dear me. Nice fellow, big nose, wealthy, old English family (with a german paternal grandfather), last name of Van Busen (like Jack's slugs <3). Very prim and proper. Name can't start with an 'e' or have too many 'm's in it. If anyone has any suggestions, they'd be duly welcome as well.

Oh, that's at least the fifth girl's-name-often-used-as-boy's that's been suggested for him. Or perhaps it's not. Shelby may very well be one of the previous four. I have a terribly memory.

Nigel is much too obviously British.

I like Dean, though. Dean is nice and simple. But I don't know how I feel about writing a Dean. My millipede of writer's block seems to be clinging rather profusely at the thought.

...I really must stop thinking there are insects crawling around my head.

Or...erm..invertebrates, rather. I don't think millipedes are proper insects...

Ooh, Hewitt. I like Hewitt. And Laurence. Scrummy names, those.

Hugh/Oliver/Oscar will remind me of various Hughs, Olivers, and Oscars, though. I'd have a terrible time writing them.

If only I knew what Mr. and Mrs. Van Busen's first names were. Then perhaps I'd have my whole character's family worked out.

Now, really, is simply the matter of where to put the story.
