The wind was both a blessing and a curse that night. Not a soul was left outside when the hoards of Euclides, Amuni, and Defore made their way across the commonly packed streets. The stink of animal and the commotion they made kept the weary homeless from straying too close. All of them, there must have been thousands, were headed toward one, tiny building. A shack of a thing, really, with broken windows and peeling paint, battered walls and boarded doors. The creatures slunk through every open entrance they could find, and soon it too was swarming with agitated Euclides and their cousins.
Arry watched this all with nervousness building in his gut. A single murdon would not be able to control these hoards of animals if they decided to attack. Minor fights had already broken out within the group, mainly between the Amuni and Euclides. A few dead, bleeding bodies were scattered about, and more were being nipped at every minute. The majority had split apart to be with their respective species, preferring not to mingle with the others. Arry would be more than a little relieved when this was all over.
Finally there came a gentle prodding against his mind, and he slipped off of the long legged table he'd been seated on. It was time to find The Five.
Oh Zar. This was going to take some time.
............................................
It was finally over. Hours of searching through hoards of snappish, irritated Euclides, Amuni, and Defore, and Arry had finally found five perfect ones. It had not been an easy decisions. Several puppet masters had managed to wriggle their way inside the building, regal, powerful, and intelligent. Arry had considered the five of them for a long time. But Puppet Masters would not do. They were too haughty, to vain, to much their own leaders. They would brush the task off like a speck of blood in their fur. Yuukuj would not be pleased if Arry chose them.
The first one he spotted was the exotic blood. He had not seen many a Euclides in his liftetime, having spent most of his time serving and taking care of his master, but he was quite sure that Servals had not been on the list of original animals to change. This one must've been something special. Arry's attention was immediately drawn to him.
Therefore, Sangjaheil's attention was forced upon Arry. Such was the mind powers of a Murdon. Arry smiled softly at the serval, nodding his head for the child to come forward. As if pulled by strings, he did.
He had a feeling he would not find who he was looking for inside this stuffy building. He had no intention of leaving the safety of the warm, warehouse building, to join with the sleet and ice that hailed down from above.
He'd simply...call the rest.
It did not take long before four more creatures had scrambled their way into the warehouse, dazed and confused. A fortune lapine, obviously a lucky one, two defore, both male, of gold-equine and water-feline nature, and the last the only female, a feline Slaughter type. And what was this? Boiling hatred for Amunuku tucked deep inside her mind. Arry grinned. Interesting.
He quickly probed their minds for their names.
Hajard, Endenu, Daoniverusius (wasn't that a mouthful) and Sitiki'Laurbet. They, along with Sangjaheil, would be the chosen five.
Arry turned and headed back towards his master's private room, five Legacy Creatures following behind him, like a trail of dazed manikins.
.............................................
"M'lord'ku?"
The Murdon rose his great and heavy head, a tedious action after all these thousands of years. His cataract-filled eyes squinted fruitlessly through the darkness of the room,"Arry?"
"They've been chosen."
A small smile curved his lipless mouth,"Good. You know what to do."
Arry nodded,"Yes, M'lord'ku."
..........................................
"C'mon Alec, hurry up!" Emmy growled low in her throat as she raced across the windy, dirt-packed streets. It was dreadfully hard to see through the rain and fog, especially when one had to wear glasses. Taking them off would make it even worse,"I want to see what's going on..."
So far the twins hadn't bumped into anyone or anything. Which was unusual, seeing as only moments ago the streets had been packed with Euclides, Amuni, and Defore alike. An now....they were gone? Just like that? How was it possible? Emmy gritted her teeth and trudged forward, determined to find the source of all the oddities that had been happening that night. If she had been from our time, she would have thought it to be like an episode of the Twilight Zone.
Alec was no nearly as curious,"Emmy...why don't we just head back to the theater. We're never going to find anything in this."
"Coward!"
"I'm not a coward, I'm just- A-aah!" his feet caught against something suddenly, and he tumbled forward. Only feline reflexes saved him from falling face first into...into...the dead body of a Euclides.
Alec squeaked again and leapt to his feet.
Emmy growled and turned on heel to face her twin through the smog,"What is it now?"
"It..he's..."
Alec did not need to say anything, for just as he was about to stutter a reply, the last of the fog was blown away by the wind, and the area began to clear. The body was clearly visible now, even through the tossing rain.
The twins lifted their eyes in unison and stared out across the road. Perhaps fifty bodies, all Euclides, Amuni, and Defore, littered the streets.
"What...happened?" Later on they would forget which of them had said this.
A moment passed, and Emmy shook her head, curling her lips in a feral snarl,"I'm going to find out."
"But, Emmy, how?"
She smirked, but not a pleasant, happy smirk. It was sad, almost melancholic, on her pale face. The lifted a hand and pointed to the little warehouse near the end of the road, tattered and broken and nearly shaking with the attempt to keep itself together. The bodies were indeed thickest there.
Not only that, but the electric whine of static cut through the slowly deafening silence, that took the place of thundering rain and screaming wind.
"Yuukuj," was all she said.
..................................................
The Five chosen ones (doesn't that sound significant?) were taken back behind a door that had not seemed to be there before. Dust flew into the air as the room was shut and locked tight once more, leaving the Legacy Creatures confused and befuddled. Arry pattered across the floor toward the other side of the room, where a few tendrils of light escaped from the cracks in a boarded window. There, in the darkness, was another Murdon, larger, older, and darker in color than the skittish neuter before them.
"Is this them?" a deep voice rumbled from Yuukuj.
Arry nodded,"Are they to your specifications?"
The older murdon leaned foreward, his eyes narrowed scrutinizingly,"They will do."
Arry moved around the male and started towards the five again. He dipped his head politely, and lifted a single set of arms to address them,"I am sure you are all very confused as to why you are all here. Most of you have probably never even seen a Murdon before, nor understand that we are your Creators, and we need your help." Oh dear, the nervous feeling was back. How would these five react when he told them the outlandish tale he was about to begin?
"We are not from your earth. We've been stranded her for many, many centuries, and now we have received the chance to return to our home world. But, we need to collect all of our people before we can do that. There are leaders, scattered about this planet, and it is your task to bring them to us, so we may complete our plans and return to Zar."
At 'Zar', the seated male let out a pleasant sigh. Arry could not share his memories, for he was Earth born, and had only known Zar through stories and recollections.
Arry lifted one of his smaller arms, where, grasped in his hand, were five slips of paper. He began to hand them out to each of the five.
He turned to Hajard first, with a quirk of a smile on his face. The five tickets were held in a pile in his hand, all face down so none of the candidates could see them. He stretched his arm out towards the fortune lapine,"It may not be your usual game of chance, but perhaps I'll let you play your games once more before you're sent away."
Hajard looked up at him, confused, but happy to be allowed to 'choose' his own fate, whatever it may be. He plucked one of the tickets from he pile, holding it gently between two foretoes. Flipping it over, he read-aloud,"First class ticket for one. Moscow Russia." It was a train ticket, high class, good seats, and good food. If a giant rabbit could get on it without causing any trouble, that is. Hajard was going to need his luck.
Arry turned away from the lapine, to the only female of the bunch,"And for you, the lovely Sitiki'Laurbet, a ticket to Egypt. A long train ride, and short trip upon the back of a camel." He handed her the ticket with a dark twinkle in his eye,"I think you'll find your task most challenging."
Daoni looked up at him with a slightly disgruntled gaze. Egypt would've been a wonderful country to visit.
Arry produced a third ticket, handing it down to the cross-dressing feline,"A boat trip, this time, not as high class as you'd prefer, I'm sure, but it will get you to where you need to go. I hope Ireland is to your taste."
"And for you, Endenu,"he stretched one of his longer arms towards the horse-like Defore, a small ticket pinched between his claws,"Greece." The word was breathed with wistful reminiscence. He turned away without delay, and tapped across the floor to the last of the five.
"For you, Sangjaheil, last but certainly not least,"he dipped his head, as if bowing to the young Feline,"I'm sure you'll find Brazil just as exotic as yourself."
"These are your boat and train tickets, to separate countries where the other leaders live. It will not be easy, persuading them to come to us. Murdon can be stubborn creatures when they want, and not all of us are too friendly to one another,"he cast a glance over his shoulder at Yuukuj. From what he saw, there was never such a rivralry to match the one between he and Amunuku...except for maybe the one between Jiaro'kumo and Kujien.
"You will leave tonight, and you will not return leas' you are dying, dead, or with the Murdon leader you have been chosen to collect."
Arry turned away again and slid across the floor towards Yuukuj, his three clawed toes tapping against the old wooden, warehouse floors. He leaned down towards his leader, and a few whispers were exchanged.
Yuukuj muttered something louder and indecipherable, and the lights grew brighter in all areas except around him. On the far left side of the room, there was a table, filled with miscellaneous items.
"We will grant each of you the value of 100 tirithium (Murdon currency X3) in supplies, and another 50 for your journey. Choose wisely,"he stretched an arm out towards the table, clearly signifying that they should approach.

Hunt-Critters Found:
There will be several NPCs in this hunt, or, non-player characters, who you will need to interact with in order to recieve items/tirithium/information/etc. Each of these characters is going to have a different reaction to you.
Each critter you find and accept (or are accepted by)becomes part of your 'party'. This hunt is going to involve battling, where stats will come into play and what-not, and each member of your party can be hurt or killed.
Fortunetly, killed party-members can be revived, using revival medicine.
You may not have any more than four party members with you at a time, meaning you might have to use a teleportation disc to return one or two of them back to the warehouse/shack.
After a critter has joined your party, it's up to you whether you'd like to roleplay him/her, or have him/her roleplayed by Mem. Please tell her your decision in the reply-post to the critter joining your group.
You will all recieve the images of your characters sometime this weekend.
