Gygax are my branch of the Murdon Legacy, critters based around the fantasy theme. For the most part they've been decided and set- but these critters still need a few things more! The types exist, but each need their colors set, as well as their traits.

For each set of traits, colors, or other type info I accept from a person I'll give you a point or something similar. Those points can be redeemed for random, semi-custom, or custom gygax! Yes indeed- Fera's desperate to get these done!

The below is a list of the settled Gygax types.
- A * in front means that a color/pattern has been accepted for the type already.
- A * behind means that a set of traits has been accepted for the type already. On to it!

For those who are making submissions- here are some guidelines that'll make it more likely that they get accepted and used. When it comes to traits, what you're listing is personality traits. Try to come up with at least four, though you can submit more. The purpose of the traits is to give people who get gygax of that type an idea of the personality that they should have. Now- submitting colors has a little more to it. Not only do I want a notion or two for the base fur color of the gygax, but I need thoughts as to what shape or type of markings they'll have- as well as the colors of those markings. You can also suggest common mutations for the type, as gygax are going to have mutations be something of a common thing.

So you are looking for colors and info for each different type? Just want to make sure I am getting this before I start spouting off things you don't need

Yep. If you look at the type pages for LC crits they have a colors blurb that states their fur color, marking color, and marking type. They also have a list of traits, which is four words that describe the personality of LC crits with that type. For example- here's some I've been given.

Imp: Fiendish, cunning, playful, rude
Siren: Charming, lustful, secretive, wrathful
Dragon: Stubborn, strong-willed, ferocious, territorial

Dryad:
Colors: Brown or Green, with vibrant green and pastel-hued markings (often resembling flowers or fruits).
Traits: Nature-loving, Reclusive, Child-like, Home-bodies

Goblin:
Colors: Slime green to olive with black tribal-esque markings. If mane mutation occurs, hair will be stringy and always, always, always black. Often have teeth jutting out of jawline.
Traits: Sneaky, Thieving, Riddlers, Sinister

Unicorn:
Colors: Pure, bright white. Often markingless. Occassionally sport silver or gold 'socks'. Mane and horn mutations common.

Hellhound:
Colors: Jet black, with intricate red striping or vice-versa. Ram-horns are a common mutation.
Traits: Violent, Predatory, Sadistic, Heat-loving, Aggressive, Malicious

Rumor
Colors: Silver to purplish in hue, with black markings. Markings are often the form of hollowed out spots, much the same as clouded or snow leopards.
Traits: Sinister, Conniving, Rude, Gossipy, Untrustworthy, Talkative

Salamander:
Colors: Various shades of red to orange, with black 'splotch-like markings.
Traits: Heat-loving, Lazy, Steadfast, Slow-speakers

Trinket:
Color: Gold in hue, with delicate silver markings, or vice-versa. Often sport gem-shaped markings in any brilliant hue.
Traits: Greedy, Prideful, Child-like, Pack-rats, Vain, Playful

Hellhound - Black with red markings, or re with black markings, the markings often resembling flames.
Traits - Cunning, Cruel, Deceptive

Zombie - Grey with minimul markings, darker grey in color, often with rotten body parts
Traits - Easily controled and manipilated, never high ranking

Ghost - White, almost translucent
Traits - Spiteful and resentful of the living.

Here are some I came up with...

Cockatrice
Colors: Tan or rust, with markings in shades of yellow and/or red. Markings frequently bands of color or patches.
Traits: Wary, cantankerous, rash, distractable

Glamour
Colors: Pink or purple, marked with swirls of pastel purple, blue, and green, and often sporting white dots
Traits: Alluring, suave, provacative, vivacious

Luck
Colors: Green, and marked with silver, gold, and darker/lighter shades of green
Traits: Cheerful, reckless, prosperous, annnnnd lucky. teehee!

Story
Colors: Tan or off-white, with rune-like markings, usually in black, but occasionally in red or blue
Traits: Wise, remembering, verbose, intelligent
(Perhaps the red-runed-ones would be a bit harsher in nature than other runed colors?)

Will-o-Whisp
Colors: Light blue/white, with points (nose, legs, etc) in darker blues, purples or grays
Traits: Flighty, mercurial, playful, whimsical

Fate
Colors: Black, with streaks of reds, purples, or yellows
Traits: Unshakable, confident, single-minded, determined, meddling

Now if I could just get geocities to stop hating on me long enough to get the info in so I could mark it off!

And Nyx- they're good notions. Try to mention four traits if you can, and for the colorations give me marking ideas as much as colors. There's only so many base colors for fur so things'll get repeated- making the markings the things that start to set them apart ^_^

Gnome
Colors: Various shades of dirt-like brown in hue, with bright, bands of green, blue, or red. Often sport white or grey underbellies and socks of primary and secondary hues.

Imp
Colors: Green in hue, with bright orange-yellow eyes. Markings are black and formed in spots or stripes across the back. Large ears and tufted tails are common mutations.

Sylph
Colors: Pale blue in hue, with deep, dreamy blue markings, often in roan or appaloosa-like patterns. White 'solid' markings, such as socks and underbellies, are common as well. Fairy wings are a common mutation, and often appear darker than the body.
Traits: Feminine, Flighty, Mischevious, Appear Serene and Melancholy

Undine
Colors: Deep, watery blue in hue, with paler blue and black markings, often in the form of ripples or close-knit stripes.
Traits: Romantic, Vengeful when scorned, Tragic, Artistic, Love, and are very good at, singing

Cerberus
Colors:Black with few markings, if any red, grey or white markings in the form of muzzles, points, underbellys ect.
Traits:Three heads, most common in canine. Cerberus are aggressive and protective of their territory.

Wish
Color: White or very pale pink, with pink and gold marks, often in the form of horizontal stripes and stars.
Traits: Childish, Creative, Daydreamers, Often Envious of others

Villain
Color: Black or white, with reverse or red markings. Markings are often in a ‘tuxedo’ form. Very elegant looking, and enjoy dressing in elaborate costumes.
Traits: Cunning, Sinister, Crafty, Devious, Antagonistic, Malicious, Very Intelligent, Arrogant

Vampire
Color: White, with black ‘hood’ like markings, often sporting points. Black and red markings on the face, limbs, and back are also common. Almost always have elongated canines.
Traits: Romantic, Lustful, Poetic, Malicious, Seductive

Troll
Colors: Various shades of grey, from stone, to blue-grey, to green-grey in hue. Markings are tribalistic in nature (ie. Green, black, brown, red). They often sport lighter hued underbellies as well.
Traits: Dull, Feral, Aggressive, Gluttonous, Close to nature

Sphynx
Color: Various shades of yellow-brown in hue, from golden to darker tan. Sport pale underbellies, and often vibrant blue stripes along their heads and necks.

Pheonix
Color: Bright red, with flame-like orange-yellow markings. Black ‘eye spots’ located along tail and ears. May also sport black stockings and muzzles.
Traits: Regal, Noble, Fiery, Kind, Wise

Treant
Color: Brown, with vibrant green dappled markings, especially along the head, neck, and back. Paws and tail tip tend to become darker the further down the limb the coloration goes.
Traits: Serene, Methodical, Careful, Thoughtful, Take their time with everything, Very wise and intelligent, Close to nature, Protective
