The bells of morning were ringing, announcing the sun as it began to poke its tired head over the horizon. Soon it would be blazing high in the morning sky, inviting humans to roam the streets while Euclide slipped to their theatres to sleep. Or, rather, most of them did. Niokaejmel, however, was still awake. Still restless. Unable to stop his unsteady trek through the quiet streets. People would come soon, but the exhausted Patchwork didn't care anymore. A yawn escaped his muzzle as the young Annihilation/Insomnia mix flopped down onto his rear before the doors of the grand Euclides Theatre. With his head bowed and his eyes half closed, peering listlessly at the gilded doors before him, it was hard to believe that this little one was still just a pup, but that's all he was. An exhausted. Sleepless. Pup. A small smile was playing upon his muzzle though there was no real reason why. Niokaejmel had no reason to smile, especially not with the options he weighed then, his back pressed to the wall of the theatre. "Should I sleep, and risk the nightmares?" They were horrible things, things that had kept him terrified of sleeping for most of his young life. He'd gone weeks when he was younger, struggling for one way after another to keep himself awake, but he couldn't do that anymore. So much lost sleep...it was starting to wear upon him. "Or stay awake a little longer?"He was dozing as he spoke, and he knew he was. There was no other reason he'd be talking to himself like this. He yawned again, if only the nightmares would stop. If only... Abruptly Nio sat bolt upright, his ears flicking forward. He'd heard a noise...he knew he had. "Who's there!?"

A young top hatted euclide came out into clearer view for his brother, an equally unneeded smile across his face. He couldn't help but cackle slightly, his brother's fear had after all amused him, but it was more the fact that his dear brother had been afraid of him that made him laugh, versus maybe a different Euclide. There was no doubt that Reznikuj would grow to be quite the Psychopath that he was, but for now he was still young, the nightmares had not yet gotten through his strong will, and he found them and the hellusinations slightly more strange then horrifying. There was still far more tramatizing to be done before he was to really evolve into his true self. In his mind, his brother had other things to worry about. "It's just your Reznikuj." he said streching out his aching limbs before plopping down next to his brother. He gave a large open mouthed yawn before continuing. "And as for your question, I'd probably sleep and risk the nightmares, after all, sometimes they can be rather funny. Like this one I had where I saw Dad in chains and forced to dress like a woman by zombie people he killed." he cackled his trademark cackle, "They were trying to put him in a pink tutu and a pretty hat with a pink feather in it, as well as a pearl necklace that screamed 'old grandma'. It was almost worth being ripped apart and having to watch as my innerds were eaten by the zombies." He sighed a content sigh. Oh how he knew this father would throtle him for telling such a humiliating dream. Maybe he really wasn't all that far off from his true self after all. [*vomits* I'm sorry...this was truely a terrible post...which i am very ashamed of ; I promise the next one will be better.]

(Nonsense! I loved your post <3 [giggles]) Niokaejmel's tension drained visibly upon seeing his brother, his ears perked forward and his tail swayed once in greeting though he did not move from where he'd been sitting. His brother's words were quickly enhancing he smile upon his maw, giving him a proper reason to smile instead of leaving that lop-sided expression of his exhaustion in plain view. "A pink tutu, a pretty hat with a pink feather, and an 'old grandma' necklace." He mused to himself, speaking out loud though he hadn't meant to. It was a problem he seemed to be having more and more lately. A side effect from his lost sleep no doubt. "I can see how that would be a dream to risk the nightmares for..." He trailed off for a moment, glancing around in a manner more suiting of a Paranoia type than an Insomnia, and then turned his gaze back to Reznikuj. "...especially as it was Father you were dreaming about."Nio desperately wished his dreams could hold the same amusement that Reznikuj's did, though he had a feeling the youthful Psychopath would probably find humor in the things that terrified Nio. It was the dreams of his two patchwork halves separating the terrified him the most, waking him up in a cold sweat or (rather embarrassingly) screaming and checking to be sure his tail had wandered away while he slept. Slowly he moved to his paws, stretching lightly before he strode down the steps toward his brother. That exhausted lop-sided smile had returned to his features, but he didn't appear to notice as he stepped up to Reznikuj and lightly bumped his shoulder in greeting. "I think I'll stay up for now." He mused out loud as he took a step away from his brother. Nio was restless, but this always happened when sleep start to become a need instead of an option. "Why don't we walk a while? Talk until I'm ready to sleep, perhaps?"Even with all the ...oddities... he'd heard about Reznik, Niokaejmel was rather fond of his company. However, that might just be his Patchwork heritage coming into play. After all, many of them had weird quirks. Perhaps his trust of Rez was one of them. Niokaejmel: 2

"Well then, that is quite a shame. Though I suppose in the long run there are only a few who can truely find nightmares humorous. I think the general population calls them crazys." he said, smirking as his brother nudged him a little in greeting. The pressure upon his body was secretly comforting, and maybe this was why we was such a physical being. It was as if it was his way to tell the difference between the dream world and the real one, because, though he dare not tell his family yet, lately his nightmares had been invading into the world around him. Glimpses of a large tree falling on people randomly, squishing their bodies against the cold cobblestone streets. A carrige crashing, the horses legs broken and sticking out in strange ways as they bellowed out their pain and wishes for the end to come swiftly, the people inside unmoving. A man with a knife raping and murdering a small child. These were all things that were beginning to seep into reality. Some he found as amusing as his nightmares, some began to change him in other ways. True, Rez might be a little more energetic then his brother Nio, and his other full siblings even, but the truth of the matter was that it was just youngling energy. Adulthood would bring something entirely different. Rez thought for a moment, stroking his short beginnings of a beard with sharp black claws. "I suppose we could walk and talk," he said nodding ever so slightly, "But then again...I have other ways in which we can get our minds off of exhaustion." His smirked a toothy grin, eyes flashed momentarily with a devilish pleasure. If they had not been Jiaro's children, Nio may have never understood what his brother ment, but the look in his brother's eye was unmistakible. It was the look one had before a murderous hunt...or one they had before love making. Oh how forward Rez was, but in his mind, it seemed rather silly to just beat around the bush. "What do you say? We may be a little tired afterwords, but i promise it will be enjoible..." his eyes narrowed in horrible pleasure at the complete tabooness of the situation. He relished in the feeling, despite the fact he would most likely be denied. No matter...they would all succome to his will one day, weather they chose to see it for themselves or not. For you see, Rez did not see woman or man, straight or gay, insestual or non-insestual....he only saw things he could do, and if he wanted to do them, he was going to, weather it took a couple hours, or several hundred years. They would all succom to him, one way or another. Reznikuj: 3

Niokaejmel, though he was not quite aware of it, shared his brother's need for physical comforts. Though, his dream world may not be seeping into reality, he still comfort of having other's near to him. Rez, and all his weird quirks, was an instant comfort to the exhausted son of Jiaro. "Crazies, indeed...Rez, or Psychopaths."Nio's tone was light and joking, friendly as it usually was. His exhaustion didn't leave room for him to be angry, and so he settled upon passive aggression, favoring his Insomnia heritage over his Annihilation heritage. It was simply easier to cope with. Flopping onto his rump, Niokaejmel watched his brother pondering the possibility of a walk...only to have another suggestion of a much more bizarre orientation offered to him. 'Something else'. He'd heard this line before. "Don't you think we're a little young to be doing something like that, Rez?"Nio had his head tilted to the side, smiling vaguely at his brother as he did. The idea didn't disturb or disgust him in the least, though he was aware of the taboos involved, he just couldn't get up the energy to care about such things. In later years he might be more willing to be convinced into more, but for now he wasn't planning on surrendering to his brother's lust. Niokaejmel: 3

Rez could only cackle in responce to his brother's light joke. "Oh Nio, your flattery is just to much." he put a paw over his mouth like an embarrassed schoolgirl as he finished laughing. Weather Nio's words ment to bea joke or a mild assult it didn't really seem to matter. Reznik caught his breath eventually. "Really though, I wouldn't want my head to get to big like father's, else I won't be able to fit into that pretty hat when it comes turn for my children to have nightmares about me." he couldn't help but pull that one with a large smirk that made his cheeks bunch up dangerously, fangs showing through the small parting of lips. No Rez didn't hate his father, in fact he rather fancied him in his...strange way of fancing family members, but he was still young and pulling jokes at other peoples expence was still concidered funny by those his own age. It's doubtful that when he grew older he would outgrow this, but at least for now he had an excuse for his rude remarks. When the subject came back to more 'interesting' things he nearly purred. "Probably. But that's half the reason it'd be so much fun, who else could say they lost their virginity at such a young age?" he grinned, knowing that truely this wasn't a good enough reason, but it was fun to poke around. After all, despite the taboo-ness of it all, most younglings thought about sex alot, they just hated to admit it. And of course there was always that youngling fear of being a virgin forever, or someone finding out you were a virgin and you being made a fool of. They were trivial things, but things that younglings did seem to think about alot, or at least so he thought. "It would be good practice for later in life, better to learn how to do it now then try to deal with learning it later. And with a more experienced individual? How humiliating." smirking at his rational, he knew his answer was no, but it did make it fun to try anyway. After all, who ever heard of a rational psychopath? Reznikuj: 4

Reznik's laughter was contagious, and Nio shortly found himself laughing along with the young Director as he placed a paw over his muzzle. Nio would never purposefully insult his brother, he liked him too much (more so than he was honestly willing to admit) for that. The crack about their Father forced Niokaejmel to glance around desperately once more, quite unwilling to be maimed for laughing at Rez's jokes, and, upon finding he was safe, allowed himself to laugh once more. Nio often forgot just how tired he was around Reznikuj, the other bebes energy seemed to rub off on him slightly and give Nio the small boosts it took to keep him awake ever after a week of no sleep. Even the Psychopath's sexual innuendo found a welcome spot in this young Patchwork's mind. Though...that probably wasn't the smartest thing to do. It meant there was a flaw in his sexual morals, although he didn't understand that yet, and it would make him all the more vulnerable to Rezniuj's seduction. Nevertheless, the words made Niokaejmel chuckle softly, his tail swinging from side to side in a rather canine manner. The young Patchwork yawned again, tempted to rest his head on Rez if he didn't know it'd only spur his brother's sexual thoughts on more. "As amusing as the thought may be, I'm not all that interested in rushing to lose my virginity." Perhaps it was Jiaro's blood in his veins, or having grown up with Reznikuj, but Niokaejmel had no qualm about expressing his sexual interests. It just so happened that his exhaustion canceled most of them out. "I don't see it all that humiliating." A soft yawn, but he was smiling still. "There's always a chance of finding someone more experienced...so, even if we do experiment now...it'll probably still be a problem later."Nio wasn't at all bothered with his brother's persistence, though...his irrational logic was beginning to set in upon the Patchwork's insomnia-addled brain. When one hadn't slept in such a long time, it was easy to accept the most delusion of things. Niokaejmel: 4

He watched his brother's movements silently with a smirk. Nio seemed to gain energy, and loose it just as quickly as he had come upon it. It was rather amusing to watch, from an energized laugh to a half lided large yawn in under 5 mins. It was not as if he didn't understand though. He was just the same as Nio, part annahilation and part insomnia. He knew the sudden spurts of energy amoungst the pain of the need for sleep, and he knew how quickly those spurts came and went. It was just amusing in a slightly sadistic way to watch another go through the same thing instead of him. His lion-like tail flicked back and forth as he listened to what the other had to say, feeling his own energy waning. He to hadn't had sleep in a good 4-5 days, it was a wonder he had made it this far without the same side effects as his brother. He reached up to take off his top hat and place it down on the ground while he itched this head with a retracted claw of the other paw, and under his chin aswell. He assumed it was his mane growing in, if he was to have one, that was making him itch so, but he also couldn't remember the last time he bathed. He grined with discusted satisfaction. It was discusting that he hadn't bathed, but it only ment that he smelt like the blood of his victims, and as a youngling, what he lacked in size and he had to make up for in strength and kills. How else was he ever going to be a puppet master. He had to become one, he just had to, or he'd feel like a fool carrying around this hat. How had it even gotten to him? He couldn't remember that either. This new question seemed to catch his intrest now far more then the prospect of a lay, so he quickly wrapped up the conversation in order to ask his brother. Surely he would know. "Hmnf, well you're no fun then. Although, it makes sence, you would be the type to hold on to your virginity until you found that special someone." He smirked a little, knowing that his words were hurtful, and in some ways probably not true, but in true Rez fashion, he really didn't seemed bothered by it at all. In the end, his brother knew he still cared for him, so it didn't matter what he said now...or something...he let it drift from his head quickly, jumping on to what he really wanted to ask. "You know, it's funny," he starts as he settles his hat back upon his head, "I can't remember how I got this hat...Did someone give it to me? Do you know? Seems a rather silly thing to wear for a Director." he didn't loath his rank, after all, Director was a very high rank, and one to be respected, but Rez was the type to always want more, and he wasn't going to be satisfide until he got what he wanted.... Nio's energy was falling faster and faster, pulling him ever downward into fatigue. He wouldn't be able to last much longer, and each short burst of energy only served to remind him of his plummeting alertness. Slowly he leaned back, resting himself against the cool stone steps as he finished his words. It would allow him support without compromising his ability to watch Reznikuj's movements. The Psychopath male fascinated the young Patchwork, especially once Rez removed his white top hat. It was also at that point when Nio became aware of the odor of stale blood and death upon his sibling, one that had not been washed away for quite sometime. His nose wrinkled momentarily but that faded away as he fell into another yawn and his brother began to reply to him. His weary gaze settled on Rez, listening to what should've been hurtful words. However, Nio accepted them without retort and merely bowed his head for a moment before allowing the subject to close. There was more on it he could say, but he could see that something else was now plaguing his brother's mind. And there it was: the top hat. "You know." Nio responded slowly, musing over his words as he spoke them. "I'm not quite sure." He smiled in that lop-sided way, head cocking to the side in thought. "You've had it as long as I remember, so I don't believe I was there when it was gifted to you."That was quite the mystery...the source of his brother's top hat. It was something Jiaro would not have taken the time to treat him with, nor did their mother have the energy to find him one. So it must've been someone else, but who? Niokaejmel: 5

He watched as his brother slowly faded, his body not finding enough strength to sit up any longer. Weight shifting towards the stone steps of the Euclide Theatre. He wondered silently why they had not run into any other Euclide yet, but was quickly reminded of what time it was. Day, when most all Euclides slept so as to haunt the nights. It was easy to forget what time it was when you were part insomniac, despite the fact the sky might be beating down with blistering heat during the day and singing with cool breezes at night. But this was good old mother England, and most of the time it was cold. If it had been hot, he imagined his brother and himself would have been out like a light bulb hours ago. He hardly noticed his brothers small bow as they left the conversation of sex and entered into one centered around the origin of his top hat. How quickly the young's attention could switch to something else, no? His look was purely pencive as if he was trying as hard as he could to think of a reason behind having a top hat. It had occured to him also that his parents wouldn't have given it to him. He was the only child of several thousand it seemed to have a top hat for longer then he could remember, and he was a Director of all things, how could he be the first to recieve a hat at a young age when there were so many strong other puppet masters born of Jiaro. He sighed, the probablity of anyone remembering being with him was slim. He knew this for the simple fact that more often than not he liked to be alone, much to his mother's dislike. "I suppose one day I should remember," he said, eyebrows furrowing slightly, "It could be the fact that sleep deprivation alters memory, but mother seems to have very good memory for an insomnia, and I would imagine we inherited the same alertness?" In which case, he thought, the reason for him having a top hat was far more forboding...his tail twitched in agitation. Reznikuj: 7

The sun glistened upon the golden doors of the Euclides Theatre, but Niokaejmel expected no one. Humans rarely ventured here, and the only others he and Rez would be likely to encounter were Insomnias or those unlucky enough to suffer from insomnia without the assistance of their Type. On another day, he might've lingered on their original topic. Would've at least given a final comment to close things on his end as well. Might have even defended himself against his brother's words. But Nio was tired and the warm sun was baking out the last of his energy. Their conversation on such topics would continue another day, Rez would ascertain that. "My memory has always been keen, even in the depth of exhaustion." Now was obvious proof of that. His body was exhausted, but his mind remained sharp. It was the least his body could do for him if it insisted on physically exhausting him the way it did. However, it took great pleasure in doubling back on him with exceptionally vivid nightmares and the inability to relinquish the memory of them. Nevertheless, that realization did open up a wealth of new questions. If their memory worked as well as it appeared to, then why could they not remember Reznikuj acquiring his top hat? "Do you think its likely that you've blocked the memory?" His ears drooped slightly in thought, his feline tail picking up a slight twitch at the tip. "I've heard some will do that in some extreme situations."That thought only created more for Nio to ponder. What could be so distressing about acquiring a simple hat that would cause one to blot it from their memories? A sigh left the young Patchwork's muzzle, at least this new curiosity was keeping him awake. Niokaejmel: 6

"Every once and a while I have trouble remembering things, but I usually remember a coupld minutes later if I care to pay attention to the memory." His tail continued to twitch as he lay, searching his mind in every nook and cranny, but found nothing. He tried not to let it worry him, like he did with most everything, but there was something different about this. He took off his hat again, looking at it closely. Maybe if he stared at it long enough, he could figure out how he got it. He looked rather funny, turning his hat over and over, as if to try and find a little note hidden somewhere that told him where he had gotten it, hat hair sticking up this way and that. He sighed, slightly defeated when after a few minutes of silence and turning over and over the hat produced no result. But he didn't care about anything! Why would this suddenly spark a caring interest? "I never thought of myself as the type to block memories," he said, unwilling to allow that to be the reason for his forgetfulness, "it's probably just a mental slip, after all, even those of sound mind can forget things." He brushed his hat nonchelantly and placed it back on his head. He did his best to look as if his interest had now shifted on to something else, and that he didn't care anymore, despite the fact that this was false. He was showing weakness by acting so disturbed, and he would have none of that, though it did press him to find the answer, he wouldn't want his hat to be the sourse of his insecurities and weakness. "Have you seen any others of our bloodline around?" he asked changing the subject yet again. He had been about to say 'family' instead of 'bloodline' but the word family somehow seemed trite. Jiaro's siblings hardly treated themselves like family, and Jiaro himself was no caring father figure. Even their mother seemed distant. Maybe it was just Rez trying to seperate himself from everyone. Reznikuj: 9

Nio watched Reznikuj in silence, following the repetitive turning of the white hat. The motion was strangely hypnotic for one who hadn't slept in so long, and were it not for Nio's ability to read Reznik's emotions, he might've allowed it to lure him into sleep. However, Nio remained awake, his eyes fixated on his brother now instead of the twirling hat. When Rez finally gave up the slow, thoughtful turning of his hat, Nio seemed to break from a trance, his tail starting to flick and his ears perking forward to catch Rez's words. "Very true," Nio replied softly, a yawn stopping him from continuing his comment smoothly. "everyone has them now and again." Another pause, this one purposeful as Nio drudged through his thoughts. "Perhaps it will return to you after a spot of sleep?" The suggestion bothered him, mostly because he loathed the idea of having to sleep again. Knew that would only replenish his exhaustion very slightly, and if he wanted more energy...he would be forced to endure those nightmares for as long as he could. Rez's question gave him a reason to stop that line of thought, to focus his attention away from sleep again. "I honestly haven't encountered any from our direct blood, but the more extensive line of Jiaro's... I have seen a few of them." He swished his tail momentarily, that lop-sided smile appearing once more. "Two of the half-siblings were fighting, if the rumors are true that is. I think one got a pretty deep wound."Nio rarely came in contact with his half siblings. They were unnerving to be around, especially when he was in a more exhausted state of mind. He knew what they did to those who could not defend themselves, and he had no plans of going so far as to give them the chance. So, he was forced to rely on rumors or what was told to him by the few others that he did associate with. Niokaejmel: 7

Rez most suddenly had been hit hard by his insomnia side, eyes fluttering slightly as his body suddenly seemed to have lost all it's bones. He wobbled slightly, closing his eyes fore a moment, laying himself also against the steps. His energy seemed to be spent, his own fault for pushing himself so hard. It was just hard to show weakness, even to his trusting brother. He opened his eyes, shaking his head slightly, looking up and placing a smirk upon his face. He hoped silently that Nio would think nothing of it. He really didn't want to draw any attention to his sudden lapse. He shoke his head lightly at his brother's question of sleep. "Maybe it would come back to me, but you know how sleeping is, it's hard to think of much of anything during that time. It's not a luxury we have, to be able to think and consider things in our dreams, and i doubt we will ever have it."[/b] No, sleep brought only the consideration of one's nightmares, trying to calm ones self, and for those of the weak of heart, a wet bed. Rez smirked, eyes half lidded. He knew he would need to sleep soon, and he more then likely would, despite the threat of nightmares, he just wasn't looking to forward to it. He rolled his eyes a little at the news of their siblings. Not that he wasn't for fighting, or killing, or any sort of thing relating to violence, but somehow the agression against other siblings bothered him. He could not say that he himself didn't have the want to murder some of them, but for the most part he had never acted upon his murderous rages against his siblings. After all, despite the fact it was rather sentimental, they were family. But then again, Rez believed that one could be more powerful with a powerful group following them or working with them at the very least. Killing a powerful person, proved you were more powerful singularly, but joining up with a powerful person...made you a force to be reconned with. At least in Rez's mind. "I don't understand why they do this constantly. Well, I take that back, I do understand. I just don't understand how they cant see that becoming allies would be so much more beneficial."[/b] Reznikuj: 11
