A Playful Hunt

Sinnarnbi stopped glaring at the older Euclide and turned her attention to the other. "Ya.. I am an orphan, and I haven't learned how to find my food any other way.. but it's ok. Trash food isn't that bad," she said. "Oh, I'm sorry, I'm Sinnarnbi.. what is your name?" she gleamed her teeth again. Sinnarnbi was known for being a trickster. She liked to cause trouble and she could spread fear like a wildfire if she really tried. She liked this Euclide though, and she loved to play...

"Rasha'Keabian, you can call me Rasha, however," She smiled, wondering about Sinnarnbi. Rasha, herself, was an orphan. But she was raised by others in her Theatre. "I could teach you to hunt!" Rasha, being of the Blood Type, loved hunting. She loved the tears of pain and screams of fear her prey made as she tortured them before feasting. Though she wasn't too good with the larger game, she was a master at hunting rodents, birds, and small animals. And, on a lucky day, she could handle a human child. "Trash may not be that bad to someone who hasn't tasted fresh meat and blood." She swatted at a large bug flying around her head, she hated insects, they were even more useless than humans.

Seren glared haughtily. These youngsters simply did not appreciate the art of drama, the flair for acting. She flicked her tail in the general direction of the trash-pup.

"Noise is not a good way to introduce yourself."

She stated, as if stating the obvious to a dim-witted child. Which, in her opinion, she was. Her glare wandered over the the Blood pup Rasha. It appeared they were of the same rank, then. And she was losing interest fast. Pity. Seren hated losing her spotlight.

"Once this idle chit-chat is over, and we've discovered that trash cans are not a source for food, would either of you like to play a little game?"

Her lips pulled back in a menacing grin. She had a very nice little game in mind...

Ah, at last, a game. Rasha had been longing to play all day, and now, late at night she is finally being offered a chance to play. But, could her words be trusted, what kind of game does she have in mind? "What do you have in mind?" she said this with both accusation, and challenge, as if Rasha could hold up against whatever the femme could think up. By the menacing grin, Rasha guessed it wasn't going to be anything like batting at stones or hunting children.

Rasha knew of a few games she, herself, would enjoy playing. Fun, safe games, oh how she loved them. But she doubted this was anything like the games she was used to... she was expecting danger. Though she could be wrong...

Sinnarnbi brightened, "You could teach me to hunt? That would be really cool!" She ran around chasing her tail and then sat down and showed her teeth again. She was growing, but she still had that Bebe Euclide in her.

A game! Sinnarnbi loved games, "Yes! Let's play a game!"

There. Now she had their attention. And what playful little pups they were! Perfect. She wouldn't even have to do a thing, they'd do it all for her! She softened her slightly maniacal grin, and padded closer to the two canine's, conspirationally lower her voice to a silky purr.

"Have you ever seen a human enter the Copse since you came into this world? I have not. But, I think it's time they entered once more, don't you?"

Hopefully they'd pick up on her vibe. She was in a playful mood, and wanted to have a little fun with the pathetic humans. And she had the best tools right under her paws: two cute little "lost puppies".

It clicked. She didn't want to have fun with the pups... but the humans. "I remember what this Music once told me, Humans don't enter the cospe because of all the murders cause by us," This had made sense to her, several Euclide wandered the cospe, and a lot of them prey upon humans.

She raised an eyebrow, this wasn't exactly the game she had in mind, but she was willing to go along with it. "And how, exactly, do you suggest that we get humans into the cospe?" She had an idea, humans were stupid, and if she and Sinnarnbi were to put their puppy cuteness into play... what human wouldn't come play with stray, lonley pups?

But where did the Bone come into play, was she to just sit and watch? Or was she going to hunt the humans? Oh, was this going to be fun, Rasha loved playing with her food.

Sinnarnbi listened to their plan with a start of excitement, but then as she saw where it was heading she started backing away. She knew all the different varities of humans, sort of like how Euclides had different varities. Sinnarnbi had been the victim of a terrible human game, and had almost been killed had it not been for a human girl that had saved her. She had always had mixed feelings about humans since that day, but she did not like the thought of killing humans...
"I don't know..." she said, trying to make it look like a stupid idea, but not succeeding very well.

Seren purred like a proud mother. The pups weren't so stupid after all, it seemed.

"Exactly. But many of them have begun to forget, haven't they? So why don't we teach them not to? They are bound to be charmed by your appearance. You shall simply lure them into the Copse, and then I shall work my magic. You may help, if you wish."

She was being gracious, for once.

Sinnarnbi still looked and felt reluctant. She didn't like the idea. "Why don't we play tag or something? Rasha, you can teach me to hunt! I need to learn..." she was hoping to lure their minds away from the haunting idea.

"Well, this may be a good start to your lessons!" Being of the Blood type, Rasha loved playing with minds and prey, and inflicting pain and fear into one's mind. This seemed to be a fun way to teach the humans a lesson...

She stuck her chest out with pride, "Do you really think they'll think we're cute?" She smirked, oh, she had never been though attractive by anyone who wasn't blood related to her... or at least she didn't think anyone did, who knows? "So, we lure them in, and you finish 'em off?" This would, indeed, be a good first lesson. First you must see how to hunt before attempting it yourself. "Just watch how Seren takes the human, how she hunts it," She though of what to say, she hadn't tried teaching anything before. "First you must find prey, stalk it, learn it's moves and what it's liable to do... then you attack."

She wondered if this was helping. It would probably be best to teach on something smaller, say a rabbit. But Rasha liked the sound of this game...

Seren pulled back her lips in a satisfied grin. This Rasha was shaping up to be something, alright.

"Indeed, Rasha. That is exactly the plan."

And it just so happened, that as they spoke, a human boy was out alone. Mark strode along furiously, head down, shoulders hunched against the chill breeze. A slight scent of alcohol lingered on his jacket, though it was not from him. He had been resigned to sitting alone at the bar for several hours, waiting for friends that never showed up. Flagrant curses flew from his chapped lips, billowing around the air for anyone to hear. These exclamations also had the added benefit of announcing his presence to, oh...anyone within a 10 mile radius? As he came upon the boundries of the Copse, he shivered. He knew the stories of this place. And yet, he couldn't quite bring himself to fear them. Murderous unknown creatures hiding behind every shadow, waiting to kill you? Hardly a believable story. Besides, nothing would dare attack him, of all people.

Mark's arrogance just might get him killed, it semed. Seren had already sensed his presence, long before he ever had the presence of mind to to wonder if he should be quiet. She hissed quiety at the two pups. This was their signal to tumble out into the open, whining like the younglings they were. At least, that's what she hoped they'd do. Then, if it all went accourding to plan, they'd lure him deeper into the Copse, where she'd be waiting.

Rasha's canine lips curved to form an evil half smile. She shot Sinnarnbi a simpathetic looked an wandered into the presence of the oddly smelling human. He reeked of something unfirmiliar to her, something sharp and moldy perhaps? Being a young pup, she knew not of alcohol.

She wimpered, hanging her head low with large, red puppy eyes. She tried her best not to smirk and giggle, she hid her smile to the best of her ability. She could smell the blood in his vains, his flesh, and the strong smell of the alcohol. Her puppy tail thumped on the ground, she didn't make that bad of an actress, but she wondered how long she could resist killing him on the spot...

Her mouth watered and her stomach quietly growled, hadn't she just had her dinner? No matter, she was craving this human boy, but she knew she didn't have what it would take to kill him, being a young pup.

Sinnarnbi, becoming scared and not wanting to be a part of this whimpered, but didn't back away. She would not be known as a coward, no matter how much she objected. She walked out into the open, putting on one of her "cute faces" and panted, twitching her tail. She put her hind quarters in the air as if she wanted to play and rolled on her back, showing her stomach. This human looked nice enough, but he smelled of something strange. She used this one fault to push her conscience away so that she felt no guilt.
