Haerud had been on many a long journey, traveling the world to be exact, and now he had arrived here. He found many a Defore chose to live here, staking a claim in this area and he was determined to find out why. However, it was looking as if it wasn't going to be a hard question to answer as many areas appealed to this Ninidian Shaman. However, settling down may prove more difficult for him for wanderers blood coursed through his veins, running to throughout his body. Casual steps were taken as he passed through the prairie for he really was in no hurry. And my did he look glorious as he passed through the tall grass. The sun caught in his mane and tail, giving it a shimmer that made it look like real flame and his white coat gave off a faint glow as the rays reflected off of it. He was like a glimmering beacon in a tide of grass, but he was unaware of this. He wasn't one to be conceited anyhow, he knew how he looked and that was that, no need to fuss over it or become a narcissist, he had no patience with those whom did. Steps ceased as he peered about the territory, taking it in funny and taking a deep breath, immersing himself in the wilderness.

Another prescence was not so calm, infact he was the exact opposite. Dasmino was narotic, he was a nutcase. One shouldn't trust him, for he could be paranoid and jump to conclusions. Swiftly the Lapine ran through the prairies, creating a trail of dust that marked the exact course of his travel. Long louping strides carried him across the sun baked earth, bright green stood out against his sorroundings. Suddenly he slid to a stop right infron of the Shaman, dust circling around his green colored paws. The fiery equine towered over the small lapine. "SPYS!" he squealed and jumped back with his fists in the air. "Fu yaa!" he made a few fake jabs to the air to 'scare' off the 'spy'. "Dasmino!" cried an angry vioce. A large Ursae stomped his way towards them. He made an angry face at the Lapine, and the Plains type relunctantly backed away. The ursae then turned to the Equine. "I'm so sorry my friend...... has problems." A few feet away the lapine snorted in protest. "I am Oba." He made a small dip of his head, but his eyes remained on Dasmino.

His attention was stolen by a dust cloud which seemed to be making a bee line straight for him, but he was unphazed by this. Surely whatever it was that was making it's way toward him would stop, he didn't exactly blend into the prairie grasses, nor was he small enough to disappear in them. Surely it had enough sense to STOP before it ran into him. As he watched it get closer, and come into view, he noted that it was green, now that was an odd color for wild life, so this convinced him that surely this was another Defore.
And he was correct in his assumptions. It was a Defore and it DID stop before it ran into him, good good. No one liked being wrong, and especially not fiery Shamans. And all the out bursts of the lapine caused were for the Equine to give him a rather quizzical, mildly annoyed expression, what on earth WAS the little guy doing? He wasn't afraid of the lapine, he just thought he was ... odd.
Oh and look, he comes with a friend as well. his attention shifted from the lapine to the owner of the voice, who already appeared to be less, traumatized. He still didn't look to very amused, but at least the annoyance had disappeared.
He dipped his head in greeting as well, twas merely a habit really. When he spoke his voice seemed cool and crisp, not all that deep but not entirely high pitched either, simply a pleasant medium. I am Haerud, a Shaman from across the Seas

A Shaman from Across the Seas. She'd heard speak of him, of his fiery grandure...but here she was, witnessing it first hand. Or, rather, witnessing it from the concealing mask of tall grass she crouched nervously within. The small Hendunu pressed her gray belly to the earth, her ears flattening back in silent anxiety as she watched her chance to approach the shaman dwindle. Miserably childish frustration filled the little Ash's features as she watched the spasmodic lapine burst onto the scene only to be followed by a much larger and calmer Defore. Slowly her ears pricked forward, her nerves so wired that a mouse sneezing behind her might've sent her jumping into the air. Zitkalasa's inner frustrations were growing worse by the second but the worse they got the more she realized she needed to put an end to her childishness or she'd wind up missing her opportunity all together. She would not... no, could not, miss this opportunity! Slowly the bebe pried her ears off the back of her skull and lifted herself lightly from the dried earth. The first step was calming down, then on to the Shaman. Breathing softly within her grassy hide away, the little canine shifted lightly where she stood...and stepped firmly on a thorn. Unprepared for the sharp splinter which invaded her youthful paw, Kalasa let out a soft yelp of surprise...only to recoil and thrust herself into the dirt again. Nonono! This wasn't how she wanted to make her presence known! Zitkalasa: 8 / 15 {30}

Oba dipped his head quickly. So they were in the prescence of a Shaman were they! The equines prescence seemed to tell him this. "It is a pleasure, Haerud." his eyes met the fiery creature. So, he was a traveler, one not bound to one place or one person. Or so how he thought. He probably had many tales and storys from across the seas.
Even when silently sulking, the erotic Lapine quickly picked up the sound of a small creature towards them. He was about to sick 'his' Ursae on her when her yelp frighened him. Quickly he leaped to his friend's back, his claws dug into his fur.
They looked quick comical, the large Ursae obviously annoyed with the paranoid creature upon his back, eyes wide. "Oba, were sorrounded by them!" the strange creature gasped. The Rain Ursae sighed. "I can't take you anywhere can I?"
He got up and started to walk towards the young Defore, the small Lapine's weight upon his shoulders where no match for the solid muscle of his frame. His soft gazed looked down on the youngling, he had a soft spot for them.
"Are you alright young one?" he said warmly.

(( :: snickers:: I think you meant erratic lapine, but erotic lapine is rather funny X3 ))
Oh stories he had and from many nations as well. He'd probably traveled most of the world by now, gaining knowledge and adventures along the way. He never stayed in one place long enough to get more then one, but the more you traveled like this the more you got anyhow. He'd always been more of the type who stood back and kept himself from gaining any attachments to anywhere, or anyone. He'd never felt the pangs of loneliness until after his travel group in Egypt disbanded. Before then he hadn't know that the companionship of others was far more valuable then any treasure or fact, but he'd never let that fact slip to anyone.
Even now he played the role of the stoic, unamused traveler whom had long since distanced himself from his emotions. He was a very dignified individual and he had appearances to keep up as well. However, underneath it all, he was finding this situation to be rather comical. The lapine reminded him very much of how most humans were, paranoid and irrational. It amused him so.
And what was this? Yet another visitor? My my, he was certainly popular out in this prarie... a place he'd initially thought to be empty. Oh well, at least the locals seemed pleasant.
His gaze shifted to the young canine, a dip of his head following. The youth gave off an odd vibe, a vibe he'd yet to encounter in his journeys. It was odd, and intriguing at the same time.

As if she hadn't been terrified enough without that spasmodic Lapine shouting about her presence with paranoid terror. It just made her feel all the more stupid and childish for having come. Speaking with any Shaman always thrilled and unnerved Kalasa but the idea of speaking to one who had traveled the world left her positive tongue-tied. His worldly experience meant all the more possibility of finding what she was looking for...or being sent in the proper direction to further her looking. She believed herself to be a broken example of a Defore, crippled by her mix of variations, but that gave her all the more reason to keep fighting. She'd prove she could be more, regardless of what she was born with, and she'd look until she succeeded in overcoming the weakness she'd been born into, or until she died. Swallowing slightly, her gaze flickering wildly from all three Defore which now loomed over her, Kalasa finally settled her gaze upon the Ursae and let out a softly squeaked response. "I'm all right... Thank you." Color moved on the corner of her vision, fiery fur shifting in the sunlight as the Shaman approached. His very presence inspired awe within her, left her speechless...but that was a flaw she'd had to overcome many a time in a Shaman's company. There would be cure-finding possible if she could not speak. Dipping her head respectfully, the little canine moved a weak step closer. "I am Zitkalasa. Please forgive my sudden intrusion."Zitkalasa: 10 / 15 {30}

Poor thing, Thought Oba, the air around her was stenched with fear and nervousness. The old ursae's heart couldn't bear to see the young Defore like that. However he made his best smile, hopefully she would see he was just an ole' teddy bear.
It had been so long since he had met an young child such as Kalasa. His little bunny friend didn't count, even though he may act like a child.
So shy she was! He made a vow in his head to bring her out of her shell. He watched her weak step, one must take baby steps. "Hello Zitkalasa, I am Oba, only of a Hunter rank." The lapine on his back snorted. "Oh, and this is Dasmino." The strange lapine nodded in approval.

Haerud wasn't exactly the social type, and with so many around he felt the urge to just meander off through the tall grasses, but he fought it. That would be terribly rude and, if he did plan on staying here long term, detrimental to his reputation in a new land. Yes, he was terribly concerned about himself at the moment and this is what resulted in his kindness.
I am Haerud, and I see no sudden interruption. That is what he said, but his gaze traveled momentarily to Dasmino, the lapine had been steadily grating on his nerves, but he'd keep his temper in check. However, he knew Fire types were known for being aggressive, so it would probably be just passed over for the type he was.
He shifted his gaze back to the young Ash Canine. His gaze was cold and hard, but that was how it always was, and always had been, even when he were her age. What brings a youth out this far?
