Right-ho, so, Mem has promised someone she’ll write something…and actually finish it {dragonry things very rarely get finished, and that’s about all Mem writes for}, so Mem’s been pondering a plot or two and she’s finally decided on something. But she’d like some help.
…and for Muse to start cooperating, rather than going OhnoesWRITERSBLOCK everything time I think about writing. Such as right now. –rubs forehead-
The story takes place in modern day England (because Mem loves Europeans), and involved an urban fantasy/fairytale-esque being, who’s been banished from his own ‘realm’ for betraying The Cause.
So, really, Mem needs help with a title, and a character.
My first character, the banished fellow, is already fleshed out and has been drawn five-billion times. He’s also been Euclides-a-fied (as Kaemannuelj). The name he’s using is Emmanuel (stolen from an erotica-star XD), and I
think his real name is Emarl, but I wouldn’t be against changing that if someone has a better suggestion. Naturally, he’s a canine-like creature, but he’s been given the ability to take on a human form to better blend in with humans. Emmers is, tentatively, going to be a cannibal (or rather, he’s going to eat humans, but I’m not going to get into technicalities)
Then there’s the second character, who has no name. In fact…I didn’t even realize he was in existence until this very hour. The children started eating popcorn…loudly…so I ran away and drew something. I can scan his image if you love would like, but here’s a quick overview of him;
Male, tall, very long black hair, large nose
Student (university or college), and in his early twenties.
He’s either the youngest or only son of a wealthy family.
British. (probably)
I’m not positive on his personality, yet, but he’s not very social. I want him to be meeker than Emmanuel (who is a shameless pervert who’s probably as social as someone can get, he’s affectionate and can strike up conversation with anyone).
…he’s also going to be the fellow who takes Emmanuel in, because poor Emmers is absolutely hopeless and has been living like a hobo since his banishment.
So…name suggestions would be quite welcome. English names, please.
As stated above, Mem also needs a title. I’ve been thinking of just calling it ‘Emmanuel’, but I do hate doing the whole…title character thing. As Mem normally…wings her plots, I’m simply going to toss a few coin themes at you, and see if you can come up with anything.
- Emmanuel’s ‘realm’ is the dream nexus, where unfinished dreams go to finish themselves. (‘dream’ includes nightmares, wishes, and daydreams as well as dreams). Someone has dreamed about the dream nexus, causing it to ‘fold into itself’, thus there’s a whole bunch of strife about quickly forming a new dream nexus and moving all the old dreams and the like into it. Different factions arise with different beliefs concerning what changes should and should not be made. Emmanuel’s family believes only true dreams should be allowed into the new dream nexus, but Emmanuel believes that they should all be allowed, even the dreaded nightmares. He betrays his faction and attempts to join the one that supports his beliefs, and is banished when found out.
- Emmers will be allowed back into the dream nexus, only when he’s been ‘converted’ back to believing that only dreams are proper. Emmers, of course, thinks this is stupid, and is going to try finding his own way back.
- Mr. Namless is going to be one of those ‘heads in the clouds’ characters, constantly daydreaming and the like. Emmanuel is going to be able to ‘see’ all of his daydreams, dream, nightmares, etc, and can ‘enter’ them any time he wishes.
- Because Mem enjoys writing romance…something is probably going to develop between Emmers and Mr. Nameless.
Soo, there we are ^-^ Does anyone have any suggestions?
