LC Species: Amuni
Type: Psalm
Appearance/Color: Psalm type Amuni are usually various shades of green with golden symbols twining up their legs. Their faces are always pale gold with their eyes outlined in a lighter green than their main body. All Psalm Amuni have a number emblazoned on their side or neck in gold, the most common numbers being 140, 141, 129, and 116 (the numbers of the Psalms within "Lord, I have cried).
Personality: Paranoid, depressed, self-absorbed. Psalm type Amuni tend to be sad unless they are singing. Music uplifts their spirits and can send them into ecstatics if they are not careful to control themselves. They are most fond of psalms but love Almost every form of music, no matter how dark/evil or on what subject. Many Psalm types are lonely, preferring constant streams of music to other Amuni, and will often try to cajole others into spending time with them losing themselves in music. This can sometimes come off as creepy, and some Amuni make a conscious effort to avoid Psalm types.
Any other information: Psalm type Amuni are terribly affected by song. Though many would hate to admit it, or would think they could overcome the temptation, if given the chance they will capture a Music type Euclides, or in even more desperate cases another Amuni or even a human. Some even go out of their way to search for them, and keep them hidden away to sing for/with them when they are lonely.
Psalm types are usually Feline or Cervine, though Chiroptae is not uncommon. Serpents can be Psalm types, but it is rather rare, their singing ability is not usually of high quality and some higher up Psalms tend to shun them.
It is thought that Music type Euclides have become Psalm type Amuni.
Example:
"Yes, of course." The Ram's forehead touched the ground respectfully at the Pope's paws, "For the glory of God. Amen, father."
His hooves didn't make a sound as he moved from the the steps of the church, having reecently covered the offending extremities in wool, to muffle the sound. One mustn't make unpleasant noises in the house of God. The house of God deserved to be graced with wondrous, pure sounds of song.
He moved in a dignified manner from the church, until he was five minutes away. Throwing a quick, worried glance over his shoulder, he bagan to move faster. The dim, watery sunlight; struggling to break through the heavy cloud cover, made the spirals of gold on his legs shine slightly, and made the deep green of his coat appear deeper and more healthy. The number "140" stood out on his sides for a few moments.
A human woman, cleaning the dust from a window frame, watched him pass and, smiling, bagan to hum softly...
The Amuni froze for a second, his ears flipping back to listen intently to his hymn. A few more seconds passed, his eyes unfocused...blank. The wind picked up and the rain that had been threatening all day began.
The woman ceased her humming, going back inside to avoid the rain. The Psalm's eyes returned to focus again on the street in front of him. He smiled, as though lost in a dream, then smoothly; hurried on.

LC Species: Amuni
Type:Penance
Appearance/Color: Greys, silvers and blacks; all either swirled or patched onto the creature. Penance types are always in an especially dramatic, fierce, or bowed/prayer pose due to their extreme condition.
Small wings are a common mutation, as are horns. Eyes tend to be either black or blue.
Personality: Somewhat haughty, slow speakers, witty, deep, reflective, secretive.
Penance Amuni are frozen in position in a way reminiscent of many church-top gargoyles. Their duty given to them by God was to slowly move about their realm and "take" the sin from others, purifying it through their stony skin.
Any other Information: Were created from the "Used" type Euclides, their bowed and subservient forms were put to a different use, and though still at odds with life, the fact that they are saving others makes them happy with life.
Yes, Penance Amuni are able to move, but their movement is terribly limited. (They are capable of suprise attacks too, imagine being hit witha club-like arm mde of stone...).
They tend to place themselves outside of their chosen church, in a fierce or holy pose, in order to relieve the humans they watch over, and their fellow Amuni of their sin and to purify it. Many will come by night to secretly confess to Pennance types.
Highly uncommon in Chiroptae. The ability to fly is lost to Penance types due to their extreme weight.
Ex:
The moon was bright, it reflected off of the canines' fur, as it stood immobile in the grass. The fur was covered in droplets, the remains of that evening’s storm, though the creature didn't appear sodden at all. Its fur remained upright, as though dry, rigid as a statue. The droplets made the moonlight reflect all the brighter from the marble-like back of the Amuni.
He could see his church in the distance, not quite a mile away. He smiled inside, though his face retained the devout look of someone deep in concentration, hunched over folded paws, bent in prayer. The position was not uncomfortable; his body had simply locked in place for the time being. He watched as the figure approached from over the hill, the same as every night this past week. A thin, nervous wreck of an Amuni, an unhappy Baptism type. Frozen in place, almost gargoyle-ish in appearance, he waited for the other to approach.
The Baptism type took a seat near the Penance, looking up into the kind, rough features, and sighing. "I know I should be confessing to my church...but I can't tell anyone else, what would they say if they knew I let him go?"
The Penance didn't respond, he waited; knowing the other would continue. The Baptism took a deep breath, as though to steady himself, and went on. "I need to find out how to cleanse myself, I am ready to speak to them about the fact that I have sinned, but I can't tell them everything, please, help me...”
The Penance thought for a few moments and then spoke, in a voice that sounded old, cavernous, and as slow as molasses. "Tell them what it is you are able..." The Baptism waited patiently, eyes on the Penance’s face, morbid fascination keeping his eyes glued to the slowly creaking jaw. "What you can not tell to them..." A minute passed. "You may tell to me...now...God will hear...God will forgive..." The Penance fell silent, as the Baptism's story began to unfold.

LC Species: Amuni
Type: Himmel
Appearance/Color: Streaks of purple, white, red, orange, and pink often make their coats appear like the setting or rising sun.
Their faces are always covered by some type of metal mask, some more decorative than others, that covers the upper part of the head, leaving the lower jaw free.
The eyes of Himmel type Amuni are "sewn" shut naturally, thin sinews grow over their eyelids, to keep their eyes closed and their souls relatively free of sin.
*Note* Bebe Himmel types can eventually open their eyes if they make the choice to as they grow older, sadly what they see of the world is usually far less than they expected it to be; driving many who choose to do so slightly mad. This will also lose them any white markings they had on their coats; replacing it with black.
Personality: Kind, bouncy, optimistic to a fault. many have not seen the world or truly felt its evils. Many are sheltered and though they do their best to bring others happiness through the Lord, their glee and odd appearance often annoys others.
Can never be Popes.
Any other Information: Himmel Amuni can remove their helmets, and many will for comfort on a hot afternoon, it is not actually attached to their skull and causes no discomfort to remove.
Himmel types originated from Masquerade type Euclides, their themes were lost and replaced with the love of the Church and their fellows. The "masks" are all that remain of their heritage.
Ex:
The Chiroptae raised her head and swiveled her ears, those gathered under her made large quantities of noise as they filed into the previously empty church. Ah, the service had begun!
Smiling, she listened to the first few hymns, before joining in loudly. She heard the gasps of delight and a few children called her name softly, not having seen her roosting there. She waited respectfully for the service to end before dropping from the ceiling, listening for a space no sound occupied. She landed gently, and appeared to look around, though she was doing no more than settling her helmet, and waited for the children.
They soon had her surrounded; their exclamations and happy greetings reverberated in her metal carapace. She beamed indulgently.
"Of course, of course...I made certain to bring you all something wonderful from my travels." One of the children tugged delicately at her elbow.
"Ms.? I asked for a rose...how did you know what to get if you can't see?"
The chiroptae placed a wing-claw on her shoulder gently, finding it by listening to the girl shuffle.
"It's no trouble at all; I simply listen for the sound made by the wind when it blows through those types of petals." She reached into the basket she had brought with her, and felt about gently until she had located the flower. Pulling it forth she handed it to the girl.
"Wow...” The child whispered. The Amuni nodded, her heart feeling lighter, and began to pass around the rest of the gifts.

LC Species: Amuni
Type: Judas
Appearance/Color: Judas type Amuni tend to be black with rainbow-like markings, making their fur appear as though it were drenched in oil. The ends of their tails and the edges of their fur tend to drip, they always appear sodden.
They have blank, expressionless eyes, and usually have white "x"'s on their foreheads or cheeks.
Personality: Vehement, wise-cracking, pitiless, and immoral. Judas type Amuni can never advance beyond the Rank of Missionary, though a church to use them even for that purpose is obviously hard-pressed to find followers.
Even though they are angry with their Lord, they have a healthy respect for him, and will lash out angrily at those who disrespect God.
Any other information: It was rumored that the first Judas type Amuni was born to an Amuni parents who had walked in sin, and thought they wouldn't be punished, the punishment came to life in their child, damning their family line.
It is also not unusual for many Judas type Amuni to wish to know how things work from the inside, it is a cruel rumor among other Amuni that they long to become Euclides again. Judas type Amuni have made valuable spies in the past.
Ex:
The small cervine shuffled her hooves nervously in the dust outside of town. What in God's good name had that missionary been thinking? ...furthermore why on earth had her Pope agreed to this!? She paced slightly, incredibly nervous, as though afraid she might be hit by something at any moment. Something touched her shoulder, light, fine.
She whipped around and nearly fainted, as she came within an inch of colliding with an Amuni standing right behind her.
"Good eventide'," The creature murmured to her, bowing his head. "Be ye the cute little Confession I've been tol' to seek out?"
She leapt backward, landing somewhat awkwardly and struggling to keep her balance. Was that another Amuni? She stared at the black furred canine before her, he appeared drenched in oil, his fur was even dripping slightly, his facial expression was a leer; he eyed her up and down. "Y-yes!" She managed to squeak, her throat tightening convulsively. "Wh-who are y-"
He waved a paw before her face quickly, cutting her off. He held a thin envelope of waxy paper. He leered again. "Fer yer Pope," He whispered, voice husky. He watched her take it, delicately, as though afraid it might bite her. "Yeh should tell him to send someone else next time, gal...I may not be able to resist one so pretty as you for too long." He raised his eyebrows suggestively.
The Confession nearly staggered. "How can you say such a terrible thing?" She cried, backing away. "No wonder Judas's don't walk in the blessed light of God!"
The canine's face split into a wide grin. "Dearest? How the Hell do you know what God really wants?"

LC Species: Amuni
Type: Thirty
Appearance/Color: Thirty type Amuni are noted for their unique silver colored markings. Their bodies are white with splashes of either blue or green.
From birth, on each and every single Thirty type Amuni, there are thrity silver spots, representing the thirty pieces of silver paid to betray Jesus.
Personality: Quick-witted, panicky, hunters, often have a form of OCD.
They are sometimes referred to as "glory-hogs" because as good deeds are doneby the Thirty types, Thirty type Amuni will sometimes lose a spot. The eventual goal of every Thirty Type is to lose every spot, and become closer to the Lord, to avenge his loss, by repaying (through the deeds in their lives) the thrity pieces of silver.
Any other information: Thirty type Amuni make excellent bounty hunters as they see the extermination or "turning" of a Euclides to the side of good as a deed that could potentially lift a piece of silver from their pelts. They can be convinced to go on mny missions that others would consider too dangerous to take on.
Will NEVER be Deitys.
Thirty type are rare in Serpents but not unthinkable.
Ex:
The serpent watched; face glowing with pleasure, as a silver circle vanished from her scales. She stroked the now blank area delicately with her tail tip, and hissed a tiny hymn.
She would be going out again tomorrow, that whiny little brat could wait for the next hunt. No way was she going to let anyone take her chances of repaying her debt to God, even if it was a child. Raising her head sharply at the sound of hoof beats she was taken aback to see her Pope approaching. Bowing her head again quickly she whispered. "Good morning Father, I hope I find you well?"
The ram shook his head lightly, getting the hair out of his eyes. "Yes, my child, I am rather well."
"How can I be of assistance? Do you need help with this afternoon's service?"
The ram smiled. "No, Cass. I've actually come to speak to you about your self appointed task tomorrow..."
The serpent smiled, though the smile did not reach her eyes. "Yes, father? You don't need to fear for my safety, I am perfectly well equipped to-"
The Pope cut her off with a gentle wave. "No, Cass. I..." He sighed. "The boy...the boy's a Promise, Cass. That fiend is the one that took his brother's leg."
The serpent's eyes flared slightly, though her smile remained.
"So you'll understand that what I am asking you is for the good of the boy's sanity. Please, Cass, let him go." The Pope continued, pleading.
"Of course Father." She whispered, head bowed respectfully. The Pope smiled and ambled off, wishing her a good day. She turned and moved toward her room. Better get her things ready now then...looked like she would have to leave a little early this time...Promise or not...she would succeed in assisting God herself!

LC Species: Amuni
Type: Remedy
Appearance/Color: Remedy type Amuni are usually a swirling mix of various types of browns and grays, normally coming out looking like shale. The plants growing from their backs can be any variety of colors, lengths, or amounts. Their eyes are often a shining green, commonly accompanied by a bird that they may see as a "pet" though it is not actually domesticated.
Personality: Calm, placid, kind, nurturing. Remedy types (though more common in males) are the "mother hens" in Amuni society, they are always willing to assist another, no matter how bedraggled or unkempt, as they believe that truly all are children of God. They, of any type, would attempt to convert a Euclides before subjecting it to death.
Any other information: Remedy type Amuni actually grow various types of herbs and flowers, many with healing or restorative properties, from their backs. Their flesh and spinal column hold strange liquids and an odd quality that allows for the growth of the herbs. Some of the herbs can be poisonous if taken alone, or without being mixed properly, thus; stealing from a Remedy type is a bad idea.
Remedy types automatically know the healing properties of any of the plants that they grow, they may also know some drugs or poisons, though they will tend to dislike using the plants for that purpose. They do not necessarily know the properties of the plants growing from other Remedy types.
They are rumored to have ascended from the Infection type Euclides.
Ex:
The feline rolled onto his side, careful not to break any of the longer stems growing between his shoulder blades. The afternoon was sunny, and the ground was warm. He smiled; his scruffy features looked warm and kindly, as he pawed gently at the air, laughing quietly.
After a few minutes of this he stopped, and returned his attentions to the pot filled with water, slowly boiling over the tiny flame he had lit. Reaching over his shoulder, he felt a few plants, what their texture was, how big the leaves were, each one told it's own story and was as easy to identify as his own tail. He pulled a few small shoots off of his back and began to mince them on a stone slab, after getting them to the right consistency; he dropped them in the pot.
He them resumed rolling in the grass for another twenty minutes. He felt elated; this would cure the young Baptism! He would be right as rain within a few hours...might throw up a bit but...eh, he wouldn't mind so much after the fact. He faced the boiling pot, grinning happily, he felt truly blessed to be able to assist these families, what more could one truly ask for? What could be better than this bliss?

LC Species: Amuni
Type: Chastity
Appearance/Color: Chastity type Amuni tend to be small, thin, and female. Males are possible, just less likely. Chastity type Amuni have veils draped over their faces, to stop others for desiring them, as they are normally quite beautiful.
They are soft, shining copper in color, like a mane of red hair, with long black, chestnut, or blond feathery tufts covering their feet and flowing front their tails, representing the desire others might feel for them, but must resist, as they represent; not only their own chastity, but the hope for the preservation of others'.
They have a very common "mane" mutation, normally in a free flowing, or otherwise decorative style, with one flower woven in. This flower is their symbol; they associate with it and with its purity.
Personality: Chastity Amuni are very shy and often naive. They are quick to love, though they often feel they must confess it to someone as they fear it may be lust rather than love. It takes a lot, not to win their heart, but to convince them that giving it away is not a sin.
Any other information: Chastity type Amuni are some of the most terrified by the concept of Euclides. They will hide in the church for days if it is even rumored that the demons may be about. They will never travel in a group of less than three, and if they are out alone it is because they were clubbed and dragged there...
Highly clingy and dependant, Chastity types have always have one of two abilities, either to "share" their fear with an enemy (or anyone they're scared of at the moment) or to attempt to re-gift someone with their chastity, which will only succeed if that person is not guilty of desiring the loss of it in the first place (i.e.: were pressured into having sex/were married off).
Ex:
She just couldn't stop crying.
How could he have done this to her!? They had always been such good friends...She sobbed into her wings trying to block out everything else; she just wanted to curl up and die. He was supposed to be her friend!
"Lori?" A voice called. The Chiroptae huddled tighter, as though to hide from the speaker. "Lori? Please let me help, sweetie..."
The Chastity finally gave in and crawled over to her mother, burying her face in the soft fur, shoulders shaking.
"Mother how could he?" She whimpered. "We've only been together for a year! He said that he loved me, but how could he know! He only wants to break me, mother! He was my best friend..." She dissolved back into tears as her mother soothed her gently.
"Calm yourself dearest, I should have explained all of this to you sooner..." She wiped tears from her daughter’s eyes. "Their concepts of love are as true as yours, they just sometimes feel it too soon, or they think they feel it. He is not lusting after you my daughter...believe me...you father would already have beaten him senseless if that had been the case."
The Chastity laughed croakily and wiped her eyes, still giggling at the idea of her father beating anyone. "Really mother? So he won't try to-?"
Her mother shook her head. "Give him a chance, Lori. Maybe the boy does know how to love, give him a few more years, but don't give him yourself. If he perseveres...than he is every bit as worthy for you as your father was for me..."

LC Species: Amuni
Type: Evanescence
Appearance/Color: Always thin, lithe, long, and delicate. They are well known for the intriguing Celtic cross designs adorning their faces and/or front limbs.
Evanescence are opalescent, mainly creams and lilacs with touches of silver, green, blue, and red swirling in a "spilled ink" fashion all over their bodies, the Celtic crosses are always either a deep blue, or dark colors of purple.
Personality: As stated in many churches, Evanescence is the act or state of vanishing away; disappearance; as, the evanescence of vapor, of a dream, of earthly plans or hopes. These Amuni are never fully aware of what is going on around them, as they are always somewhat lost in the realms of spirit, searching for what it is that will bring hope to the lives of others around them.
Evanescence types are exceedingly compassionate and will go out of their way to search for hope for others.
Any other information: Evanescence Type Amuni have the odd ability to disappear, especially in direct sunlight, where they will sometimes appear to vanish like the morning mist and dew. This also tends to happen when they are frightened, or attempting too hard to commune with the heavens. Some of these Amuni live in constant fear of vanishing in the hope of bringing hope, and never reappearing again.
Ex:
The Amuni appeared to slowly materialize as she stood on the hill overlooking the grave yard. She had begun as a shodow, and slowly become more corporeal until there was in fact, a pale, rather beautiful Cervine standing in the grass.
"I wonder," She whisperered aloud, gazing at the graves below. "Will anyone remember a person who fades away? Will we even need graves? ...Or will there be no bodies to bury?"
"If only I knew.." A mouernful voice whispered beside her, comming out of thin air. "I wish I could see what God's plan for us will be, but alas...I know only that we fade..."
"Oh, for goodness' sake, Deff, stop being so morbid!"
"Stop being so morbid!" The voice mimicked. "You were the one who started it...talking about whether or not we'd need to be buried...I suppose it's all sunshine and daisies so long as you say it?"
The cervine laughed, raising a leg to flail gently at the place where the voice emenated. Her legs didn't continue past the knee, she appeared to have lost her limbs in the colorful, shining mist, surrounding her.
"Come on then, let's go and join in the picnic! Maybe thast'll cheer you up, eh grumpy guts?"
"Oh shove off," The other Evanescence muttered playfully. "if I'm grumpy guts then you're morbid Molly, heh I- Huh?"
He was speaking only to air.
