THE WISHING POND
[/u]Just below the city Sultha sits the magnificent Cacaeda falls, and adjacent therein is a tiny alcove hidden by a flourish of vibrant trees. There are several small, trickling falls that drip down into the pool below, fed from the mighty rivers of Sultherem. This is the Wishing Pond. A small body of water said to have once been blessed by a passing murdon, after a fisher offered his catch. Now the fish here grant abilities upon those who manage to catch them.
But, knowing their new found power, they are not easy to catch!
.// HOW TO PLAY
- The Wishing pond is stock full of 5 unique species of fish, just waiting to be caught. For this game you need to gear up for some fishing, and be prepared to have a lot of patience. Enter the pond quietly, because these fish scare easy.
- The Wishing Pond is stocked with a set amount of fish each month. Once these fish are gone, the pond won't be replenished until next month.
- To play, respond to this post with an in character approach to The Wishing Pond, and include the form below.
- A moderator will then respond to your post, stating what fish (if any) you've caught, and what it's given you.
.// RULES[/u]
- The Wishing Pond costs 7 Game Tokens to play. These tokens are spent. You can earn more game tokens through various games and events.
- You, as a player, may only approach the pond a total of three times per month. It doesn't matter what (or how many) characters you use, so long as you don't exceed this limit.
- Your "approach response" does effect your chances when catching fish. Please stay in-character, though. Anyone found using their characters in a manner arbitrary to their previous behavior will be banned from using the Wishing Pond.
- A character may only cast into the pond once per post. You must wait for a response before that character can play again.
- A role-play post is required in order to play the Wishing Pond. (You will receive reply points for this.)
- Because the Wishing Pond is located in Sultherem, any character who approaches it must have made at least one in-character post role-playing in this province.
.// THE FISH[/u]
- Blue-Nosed Diver:
● ● Grants one minor ability.
● ● Fairly common.
● ● Are located near the pond's bed, and don't react easily to sound. - Bonefin:
● ● Grants one moderate ability.
● ● Uncommon.
● ● Located nearest to the waterfall, but are very quick, and might just steal the bait right off your hook! - Silverscale:
● ● Grants one major ability.
● ● Rare.
● ● Can be easily spotted from the surface of the water, but are very picky about bait. Technique is the best way to catch this fish. - Batfish:
● ● Upgrades one of the fisher's current abilities. Has no effect if the fisher has no abilities at the time of casting.
● ● Uncommon.
● ● Mid-range fish, are only active at night. - Water Bogey:
● ● Oh no! Weakens one of the fisher's current abilities. Has no effect if the fisher has no abilities at the time of casting.
● ● Uncommon.
● ● Can be found just about anywhere in the pond, and they're voracious eaters. Good thing they're not that common.
